This news is from data obtained from ICE. Trump has been claiming that murderers, folks convicted of sex crimes have been pouring across the border. The one area Harris was put in charge of is the border. Is this news a mortal blow to her campaign?
 
If you're wary of people with sexual assault histories maybe don't send one to occupy the Oval Office maybe.

In the meantime, once again, we have a preponderance of evidence that immigrants, both legal and otherwise, have a lower crime rate than the native born population. They are literally lowering the overall violent crime rate by being here.

If you're going to be this easily duped into scapegoating immigrants then you'd probably be a brownshirt in 1938 Germany.

My bet is Fox is going ballistic today on the border and migrants . We see it on several threads . I especially love the bogus claims migrants are being registered to vote in several States. My sense is reality is starting to dawn on Trumpers and it's not looking good for them.

I suspect that the mainstream conservative media is concerned about the non-partisan hurricane-related news lowering the level of anger and hatred in the heart of the average MAGA. So, we'll see a short-term bump to reporting about caravans, DEI and trans groomers, with the requisite threads and posts by @DrewPaul and the like.

I expect this so-called ICE data is going to turn out to be bogus. It fits the old adage, "If it's too good (to Republicans) to be true, it probably isn't." I noticed this little nugget:

"The data says that, among those not in detention... Those include.... 13,099 convicted of homicide."​

Maybe you can tell me, Mr. Paul, how does one get convicted of homicide and not be in detention?

I like to check Yahoo news which carries headlines from various news outlets. Unfailingly, the ones bashing immigrants come from Fox News. Its either about immigration or some black bureaucrat doing something bad.

I just knew it from the posting of some of our Fox devotees. Harris is going to the border today and they are terrified she is going to eat into this issue as effectively as she has on the economic issue.
 
When folks on the right are willi my to take the GOP and Ttump to task for killing a bill that would have provided a foundation for future immigration laws to better protect the nation for the cynical reason of giving Trump a talking point during the campaign…then I’ll take posts like this more seriously.

Off the top of my head I believe these people were convicted of the crime in their country of origin. The question is why were they let in? Why aren't they subsequently being detained and deported? You're aware the overwhelming majority of democrats voted not to deport illegal immigrants who have committed such crimes.

I do approve of his inaction of a bill that would codify over a million new comers every year. I also doubt they would abide by the terms that if they reach a certain amount they would suddenly have the power and the will to turn them all away and close the border. Something the left has consistently claimed couldn't be done. Besides for three years they denied there was any problem on the border. Why should republicans be on the hook to fix a problem they denied for years.

Please try to have a response worthy of my post.
