Ted Nugent Will Attend State of the Union Address

...Mr. Nugent, who is also a National Rifle Association board member, will be a guest of Representative Steve Stockman, a Texas Republican who recently made headlines by threatening to file articles of impeachment against Mr. Obama if the president issued executive orders that strengthened gun control laws.

In a telephone interview from his ranch in Texas on Monday, Mr. Nugent said that he planned to sit in the House of Representatives gallery during the president’s speech and that he would hold a news conference afterward, an event that seemed likely to turn the decorous setting of the State of the Union into a tabloid spectacle....

I hope someone files articles of impeachment against Mr. Obama if he issues executive orders that strengthen unconstitutional gun control laws which would be a violation of his oath of office.

If the President is going to make tonight a pity-party for a slew of victims of gun crimes as a means to push his gun control agenda, then others who disagree with him should be represented as well, as long as they behave themselves, no matter how obnoxious and disrespectful the President may be.

Well, Obama did issue EO's which strengthened the enforcement of gun control laws, and Stockman did not file any impeachment papers, so it's no wonder that he invited the boob who said he was going to leave the country if Obama was re-elected and then stayed in the country after Obama was re-elected

It might just be me, but since the election I've found that Obama is basically irrelevant and will be even more so as time goes on - it won't take four years for the rest of the world to tune him out.

It might just be me, but since the election I've found that Obama is basically irrelevant and will be even more so as time goes on - it won't take four years for the rest of the world to tune him out.

I don't know, he seems emboldened by not having to run again and I think we are going to see some things from that idiot that take a lot of nerve in this country. He might even be up for legal penalties before all is said and done. Hope you're right but there are high stakes here.

I refuse to listen to that clown and his constant campaigning. I hope that the senators who threatened impeachment proceedings keep it on the table, and I pray that gun friendly blue states keep the fire to their representatives.

Bush was similarly emboldened and moved on immigration reform and social security reform and got nowhere - I say Obama is irrelevant because he was basically removed from the financial crisis debt, the Republicans took him out of the debt ceiling debate, and the gang of eight in the Senate took him out of the immigration reform initiative - it was funny watching him rush out a day or so after the Senate announcement with his own immigration reform initiative and the media and public yawned.

You've got an interesting perspective on it. Obama is so willing to overstep his authority though which is probably where my biggest concerns are, there are going to be legal messes for at least a decade trying to un**** everything he's managed to mess up. The only hope we are going to have is continued showing of backbone by his opposition and some of the moderates from his own party. The things that really lead me to believe we're in trouble are the escapes that Republicans have provided to Holder, Hillary, and other administration officials on multiple controversial missteps like Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and the high crimes committed therein.

I really can't wait until the next election, and I certainly hope we have better candidates to choose from. I'm sick of Obama and his divisive ways. Even his speeches are divisive IMO.

I think the Democrats will have to go moderate, and the Republicans will have to have a fiscal/civil rights minded president. Social issues need to be dropped by the Rs, it's not important in the grand scheme of things and even when I was one didn't care about that, the only reason it took me a while to go Libertarian was the continued promises of a return to constitutional governance by the Rs.

Oh, I so agree. :thumbs: I heard that Marco Rubio is going to give the rebuttal, and I sure hope that Ted Nugent overshadows Mr. Rubio.

If I was the GOP I would seriously talk to Steve Stockman about not doing that so Marco can get all the free publicity that he can muster before 2016, but knowing the GOP they won't do that--as a matter of fact, as stupid as the GOP is, they will probably have Nugent run instead of Rubio. Bravo! :applaud
