Actually I prefer the other Rock star from Michigan Bob Segar.eace
LOL who gives a ****? I guess if money "makes" you , that would matter! MONEY doesnt buy CLASS (or sanity in this case). Im rich in ways you cant even fathom. REAL wealth has NOTHING to do with MONEY. So what's your point? You think I care what his net worth is?
If his net worth makes him all important I assume your "nothing" compared to him too? lol! Silly Ric, High school was years ago....grow up.
PS. Money apparently doesnt keep one from sleeping with little teenage girls (while married) either, now does it? (Ted's own admission)
Actually, Nugent plays a wicked guitar, and at one point, during the 1970's, he reigned as the number one guitar player in the world for a short time. His songs? Pretty lame, for the most part, except for Stranglehold, which was a great song.
Ehhh im really not that far left in reality but ok...
Here in SE Michigan he was not even considered the best guitar player in the area - and that was at his peak.
it doesn't seem to me that you are rich in "class" either... you sound kinda like Ted does when he goes into a wildeyed rant. <shrugs.>
Thats the TRULY comical part about this. How many people tripped over themselves to rant on about Nugent...while ridiculing his rant?it doesn't seem to me that you are rich in "class" either... you sound kinda like Ted does when he goes into a wildeyed rant. <shrugs.>
Didn't I explain to you once already that what you "think" of me doesn't matter? I believe I did... or something along those lines anyway. Chances are, you dont make your living "thinking"
:2razz:

Yeah...so money doesnt really matter I guess. And apparently there are some unknown musician and guitar Gods right here on our website...but I somehow doubt they could get past the first three bars of Smoke on the Water. And I would still love to see people stack up their life resume against his. I think we might see pretty quick who the pathetic insignificant ones are.
I really don't mind if somebody doesn't want to patronize the guy due to their serious disagreement with his politics. That's fine. But, just have the backbone to admit it. One's own political position is not affected one way or another by conceding that Ted is a fine and well-respected guitarist.yeah, it's pretty funny.
I don't think they need to stack up their achievements next to ted for validation... I think they just need to step back and take a look at reality.
they might hate the fact that he is successful or talented or has had a long rock and roll career.. but their hate doesn't change a damn thing.
Ted's net worth is over 20 million
What's yours?
Nah, I don't think he's "become" anything. I think he was just being himself and it got noticed by those who normally pay him no attention for a change.Maybe he's become a political mouthpiece to remain relevent? It was either that or that TV show with Donald Trump where all the other washed-up has-beens go.
... I like em both.. and many others too

who was the best guitar player in SE Michigan ?... and why, if he isn't the best, do you consider him terrible?
This. Excellent guitarist. Influential to many other guitarists. If you don't like his kind of music to begin with fair enough. Not everybody likes hard rock. But I sense that some don't like his music because of him and his politics... which makes those people no less "tools" themselves.
Anyway, back to the OP... I was amused by this quote from the OP's link...
To be fair, I have never met the guy in person. But my in-laws live in Michigan, and they have friends that do know Ted quite well. They pretty much all tell my in-laws that, up close and personal, Ted is an asshat of the highest order.
Third-hand info, but it fits with other reports I've heard about him over the years.
I do believe he is sincere in his beliefs, and I believe that he is pretty much always honest, and I do admire that. Sincerity and honesty is way too UNcommon in today's world. I don't disagree with everything he says, but he is too extreme for me, in an overall sense. He may be kidding himself, but he's not lying to me, if that makes sense.
Whats truly amazing is the caliber of greatness, Michigan tends to produce...
Brilliant musicians have come from that state. A state of virtuoso entertainers

So you lied on a political quiz? What are your real results?
as i've already stated, we share similar views on gun policy... and that's about it.
i'm a fan of his music... not his politics.... he's a typical Republican to me.. he's quite a few notches to the right of me on everything but guns ( despite your claims, every single political spectrum test i've ever taken has put me right smack in the middle of the left right spectrum... but solidly libertarian)
and yes, you are being hackish.... one thing that has been made crystal clear in every one of your posts is that anything right wing is bad , horrible, or evil.... that's the reputation you have built for yourself here.
