Stop giving Trump what he wants

Trump WANTS these protest in other cities as they are constructed. Most are peaceful, but if there is even just one person that is being violent, vandalizing, etc... that gives him a reason to mobilize the National Guard.

Instead, organize a large protest in his backyard, Washington DC. Have them all meet where they can be seen easily from Trump's window. Put up ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL SIGN saying "no ICE" or something to that affect. Meet in ONE location, and don't march, don't shout any slogans, just sit there in the lawn underneath the big beautiful sign and stay quiet. ONLY move when you are told to disburse, but move to another location in DC and do the exact same thing. The protests are not raising awareness because we all know what is going on. This is showing up at his doorstep, with the big beautiful sign, and just sitting there silent does not give him any reason to call the National Guard. Remember, he says that the reason was that there was violence. I agree in principle but the problem is there will always be opportunists who show up and turn things violent.

Peacefully voicing objection to the enforcement of federal immigration law isn’t going to stop ICE from doing so. Trump is fully aware that many on the left oppose the enforcement of federal immigration law.

Trump wants to enforce the law. That's why he has ICE removing illegal aliens. Those protesters are just making it harder for him to do his duty. Violent protesters are breaking the law. He is enforcing those laws, as well.

Trump would prefer if no protesters make it hard for him to do his duty, but he accepts their right to protest. Violent have no right to engage in their violence.

It is really just as simple as that.

Just a minor correction, it's not @Mycroft's premise, since he's just repeating talking points given to him by the mainstream conservative media. It's Stephen Miller's premise. This is fairly straightforward: Stephen Miller makes the decision, Donald announces the decision, Fox broadcasts the decision and @Mycroft makes copies of the broadcast and reposts them. It's a well oiled machine but all of the "thinking" is happening much further upstream.

If? There isn't just one person being violent. There are large numbers, have you not watched any of the coverage? The democrats support this activity, they have members that have long said be violent and don't stop. That group include Kamala Harris, and Maxine Waters. Many othe democrats support the violence with their silence as they refuse to condemn it.

After the protest, we sang and marched to a church where we heard poignant witness of immigrants trying to build a better life for their families against insurmountable odds.

Manufacturing jobs did not return in any meaningful way.

3. Health Care?
He never released a replacement for the ACA.

He filled his cabinet with billionaires, oil lobbyists, Wall Street donors, and cronies.
He pardoned corrupt allies, enriched himself, and ran the country like a private business.
5. Christian values?
He mocked disabled people, paid off porn stars, and encouraged violence.
He held a Bible upside down for a photo op after gassing peaceful protesters.
And evangelical leaders worshipped him anyway.
6. Stop crime/immigration?
He ripped children from their parents at the border.
Locked them in cages.
And still didn’t solve the immigration system.
Meanwhile, white nationalist domestic terrorism rose — and he refused to condemn it.
7. China?
He praised Xi Jinping, started a chaotic tariff war that hurt farmers and consumers, and weakened America’s global alliances.
8. Make America Great Again?
He led a violent insurrection to overthrow democracy.
He told you it was for you.
But it was always for him.
