One must keep in mind that the Obama administration, backed by an adoring MSM, precludes Muslim terrorism from being labeled as such, i.e. Fort Hood was "Workplace violence."

Were the Fort Hood shooting victims counted as deaths by a Muslim extremist? If not then that would add 13 more deaths making the Muslim extremists out kill the white supremacists by one ;)

News in the sense that individual incidents had slipped my attention. It is not a surprise at all, though. I am more surprised that the new bigotry against the religious underway and the preposterous pc-speak has not triggered more violence than it has so far.

I got as far as the statement in regards to the recent shooting just south of me being tied to white supremacy and gave up on the writer as a complete imbecile.

If I am surprised at anything, it would be anybody who thinks it is breaking news, mainstream media when they post an opinion piece from some complete nobody named Keisha Hatchet who writes for a style blog called "Complex".

That Justin Bieber lead articles are hard-hitting news, indeed!

Not at all. This has been published a number of times, completely disregarded by the I hate all Muslims group, aka the Live in Fear group.
When the Military was conducting exercises in Texas a tad ago, people were stating the Govt is taking control, detentions camps and they would fight for liberty.
Is it an wonder with people like this the US has massive social problems.

Even if you believe the raw numbers weren't cherry picked (i.e. Fort Hood excluded), the per capita rate would tell a radically different story. But, let's use the numbers provided:

48: non-muslims
26: muslims

According to Muslim Population in America, there are 6.6 million muslims in the US. Let's further say that is wildly under-reported, and the number is 4x higher at 26 million. That makes the per-capita a nice even 1 per 1M. Note that if the 6.6 is used, this number would be 4x higher.

The population of the US is 321 million. Population Clock
So, if we assume there are 26 million muslims, that means there are 295 million non-muslims. 48÷295 ~ 0.16 per 1M.

Thus, whatever danger assessment you assign to the non-muslim population, the assessment should be 6x times higher for the muslim population.

And, needless to say, the stats change substantially if your start day is pushed back by 24 hours.

...and this Keisha actually had the nerve to use the incident a couple of days ago as an example of white supremacy.

I live close to Roseburg. It is about as lily-white as it gets, but interestingly enough, it was the SHOOTER who was mixed race and the VICTIMS who were white.

I don't know which is worse -- that this "Keisha" did not allow any facts get in the way of her agenda, or that there are people who lack the ability to even question it as they tout her prattle as some sort of breaking news.

It's worse than that. Because we have media that is granting these people a forum. This rag should not have made it to print. It's all about sensationalizing to attract attention and dollars. Young people know it, too. You want to attract attention? Just do something sensational or outrageous. And you'll be an overnight success.

It's not a "hate" site, it's a love site. And murdering one's family members because they failed to keep the faith IS an act of terrorism intended to instill fear in all Islamic women and children.

I propose that we provide better incentives for students to study abroad particularly in countries with very different cultures (like Southeast Asia or the Middle East as opposed to Europe).

I didn't include 9/11. That would have added another 3000 deaths. And personally? I would have taken it all the way back to the 70s when these Islamic terrorist attacks began to occur in the US.
