Good for him, but if I were him I'd have waited another year and collected my last check before spouting off. I like Kirk Cameron. I'm sad to see the anti religous folks around here pounce upon him and other Christian followers.
Oh, I doubt very much there's any religion in the show. I meant a religious angle for disliking the show; as opposed to the much more straightforward reason: it sucks.
Why? He's being a huge hypocrite.
just like jay leno.....he is just coasting.Was. It WAS funny as hell....about 8 years ago.
Hasn't been funny for a loooooooooooong time.
Maybe he got into this thinking it wouldn't be so bad, and thinking that compromising his values "a little" would be worth such a huge payday. He wouldn't be the first person, or the ten millionth, or the billionth, seduced into doing something questionable for large sums of money.
My husband still watches that dumb show, but I haven't watched it since about the third/fourth season, when it really started going downhill. When it first came out it was absolutely hilarious, and Jon Cryer was the jewel in the crown... always has been. Eventually it became a tired caracature of itself, and bored me senseless.
That said, the kid is behaving like a royal ass. A class act would have just finished out his contract, then hit the road with his God-and-Jesus show. Unfortunately, he's taking a page out of Uncle Charlie's "look at me, look at me, woo-hoo, look at ME" book. So yeah, I'm looking at him, and I see a blatantly more-pious-than-you, God-loves-me-not-them bible-beating hypocrite. No loss.

He's made enough money, I think. Now it's time to follow his convictions. He's gonna lose his nice paycheck over his silly beliefs.

Looks like another Kirk Camron in the making.

I love seeing people rock the Hollywood establishment, especially fellow Christians.
The only good shows on the big 4 are Shark Tank and Blue Bloods.
Undercover Boss?
I agree that the big networks generally suck in terms of content to watch.
"What would you do?" had potential until every episode had to do with homosexuals in public.
Yeah, that is good, though I forgot about it.

I don't know the guy and I don't watch the show, so I got no dog in this fight.
The following is pure speculation...
Maybe he got into this thinking it wouldn't be so bad, and thinking that compromising his values "a little" would be worth such a huge payday. He wouldn't be the first person, or the ten millionth, or the billionth, seduced into doing something questionable for large sums of money.
Maybe, just maybe... instead of being a hypocrite entirely, it got to the point where he realized that the money was NOT worth the compromise of his principles... but he was stuck with a contract and would be in big trouble if he broke it... so he's trying, now after realizing he made a mistake, to begin taking steps to correct his mistake as best he knows how... for starters by telling people they should not watch the show.
Oh and BTW, he probably better keep those 350k paychecks, since after this he will probably never get any good paying jobs in Hollywood ever again...
Now, I don't know where the truth lies here... as I said I don't know the guy. Maybe he is just a big hypocrite... I'm just suggesting an alternative scenario that takes human nature into account and doesn't necessarily cast this in the worst possible light as others are doing.
Want to talk about hypocrisy? A lot of the people putting this guy down the hardest would EAGERLY sell out for a lot less than he is making... maybe some of it is jealousy. Maybe some are pissed off that they didn't hold out for more money when they sold the Devil their soul.
In any case I ain't losing any sleep over it.
