South Korea sees 10th-straight day of triple-digit coronavirus case increases

The virus has ravaged the entire world. To blame one person is just uber partisanship.

No one is blaming Trump for the virus. What people are blaming Trump for is the fact that we have just 4% of the world's population, yet we have about a quarter of the world's cases and lead the world in deaths with around 20% of the world's deaths. This is despite the fact we don't have a high overall population density in this country and have good hospitals.

South Korea sees 10th-straight day of triple-digit coronavirus case increases | TheHill

South Korea has reimposed several social-distancing measures after the nation’s coronavirus cases increased by triple digits for the 10th consecutive day.

The nation closed beaches and churches and banned fans from baseball games after the country’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 397 new cases of the virus Sunday. A new spike in the virus began in the Seoul region before spreading to most of South Korea’s other major cities and towns, The Associated Press reported.

KCDC Director Jeong Eun-kyeong said the daily increases may climb in the days ahead.

“We don’t see the current state as the peak ... we believe that infections could further increase,” she said during a briefing, the AP reported. “Patients are increasing not only in the Seoul metropolitan region, but also across the 17 (major) cities and provinces throughout the country, pushing us on the verge of a massive nationwide outbreak.”

Our future, at least in RED states?

obviously

but we won't shut down again and the number will not be a simple 3 digits.

Good grief... You are not familiar with his lack of consistence, scientific response to the virus?

Really? Why is it Trump's fault?

Didn't implement a national mask policy. Had a terrible testing regime early on. We are doing a terrible job at contract tracing. Basically, we are not doing the things that most of our peer nations have done that resulted in much lower deaths in those countries.

More idiocy.

Anti vaccine people are spread across the political affiliations fairly evenly.

Anti government leftist radicals are burning cities and attacking innocent people as I type this.

Anti law leftist radicals are attacking cops every day.

Why do you keep spreading lies?

More idiocy.

Anti vaccine people are more likely to be conservatives.

Anti maskers led by Trump are responsible for killing tens of thousands of Americans and helping to tank the economy.

Thankfully the people who are burning and attacking people are few and have resulted in a very few deaths. Unfortunately Trump has fanned these flames because he thinks it will help him get re-elected if there is carnage in the streets.

Should I add “why do you keep lying?”

Look at California. In the beginning they had it under control and then they let it get out of control. That's happening pretty much everywhere around the world.

Have you seen our infection rates/deaths compared to the rest of the world?

Be honest. Just be honest. Just one TRumpet be honest just one time.

A national mask policy??? Still Confused About Masks? Here’s the Science Behind How Face Masks Prevent Coronavirus | UC San Francisco

Just about every country on Earth is living proof that no matter what you do, no matter how much you lock down, the virus will come back to get you. And yet the left would have you believe that it is all Trump's fault.

Sweden has developed herd immunity after refusing to lock down, some health experts claim, with coronavirus infection rate falling - MarketWatch

Experts around the world cannot agree on whether the right approach is to open up schools, scale back lockdowns and wear masks.

Trump dismissed the virus fro the start. I don't think he even understands what a virus is. Even at the most basic levels they are very complex.

Oh, they were serious. Many posters on here claim that Trump is responsible for all 177,000 deaths, every one.

Only most of them. You can discount the ones who wouldn't wear masks, like Trump, & the ones who went off to Sturgis.

Maybe not but they are blaming him for his mismanagement of the pandemic, handing it off to RED state governors who had no clue & acted accordingly. 'It's not my responsibility.'

I have to think what has this country done to his supporters to make them hate it so much? We are 4% of the world's population yet lead the world in deaths. At the rate we are going, by the election, well over 200,000 Americans will have died. Anyone that gives a damn about this country and their fellow Americans look at that and say to Trump "Get the hell out. Your ignorance and incompetence is killing tens of thousands of my fellow Americans that did not have to die." Yet they will shamefully vote for him anyway.

We have 30 times the new cases per day as South Korea. South Korea has a total of 310 deaths, we have 177,000 and counting. So yeah, it's all Trump's fault.

False. And stupid. Otherwise great post.

The idea that everyone else is as bad off as we are is ridiculous.

Measured in terms of deaths per million population we are nearly the worst. We are number 206 out of 215 countries.

Currently there are very few countries that are piling up new cases as fast as we are. It makes news when various countries have a new outbreak but in most the resurgence is a tiny fraction of ours on a population adjusted basis. Right now Spain’s resurgence is as bad as ours, but that’s about it. Most other developed countries have things under control.

Blaming Trump for making things worse is just calling it like it is. His rhetoric discouraging people from wearing masks alone is responsible for thousands of needless deaths.

The governors are in charge of the States, not the President. All he can do is help when requested, which he has done.
COVID-19 death rates reveal NY and NJ are states that failed the test

Trump has actively worked against the Governors. He discouraged people from wearing masks when the Governors were trying to get their constituents to wear them. When Governors were trying to follow guidelines necessary to reopen their states safely Trump was yelling LIBERATE, LIBERATE! What kind of President actually works AGAINST the Governors in a pandemic?

NY and NJ were badly hurt by Trumps anti testing position. Trump has been very vocal about wanting less testing. Our poor testing ability in the early days compared to other countries left the states that were hit early flying blind with no way to know how serious things were.

What is false? Maybe that it’s not ALL Trump’s fault, but clearly it is largely his fault. The numbers are good.

Except most of the dying took place in Blue states. So much for your stupid theory.

Math a challenge for you? What numbers there are wrong?

Its not mathematics at issue, but mindless partisan hackery. Trump is responsible for exactly zero Covid deaths. Zero. Choke on that math.
