No it's a replyIs this supposed to be a response?
Yeah. You are straight up wrong about Bernie Sanders.
I said his idea was stupid, clearly, look who was elected. Then I was shocked in disbelief that you voted for him and then I said yeah. Are you going to be a man and own it, or will you keep spouting off nonsense?
No it's a reply
Yeah.

You said things like "Yo this looks dope..." I laughed when I read that.
Forgive me, I just don't think that **** be dope dog...lol
Do you like that I can use ebonics ironically and still type far above your capability? Mind blowing, right?
The left does nothing but demonize the right. Just in the recent Kavanaugh hearings, Democratic senators said that if Kavanaugh were on the court millions would die and called Kavanaugh evil. That's just the recent examples of the one million examples, not to mention Hillary calling Trump supporters deplorables, and others calling the right racists, bigots, and misogynists.
So what body part was being poked with six years straight of hearing about Obama’s secret Kenyan birth certificate?
I'm a moderate. The whole Obama birth certificate thing was a bogus piece of crap, mostly believed in by the unhinged far right, not the right in general. Hell, Bill O'Reilly didn't even believe that.
The sad fact is that having a pedophile win is better than having a Democrat in office. I'm all for a solution where a Republican gets in that isn't Moore.
Thats pretty much the end game of Trade War too. Good to see that no matter who we put in, we end in the same place...

Puhhh freegin leeze.
you guys have demonized the word socialism to the point you label everything socialist and conflate it with castro. You've demonized the word "liberal" to where it's a bad word in your circle unlike how conservative is in our circle. You guys don't even have the respect to call the Democratic Party the DemocratIC Party because you all demonize that to DemocRAT Party. You guys are at such a war with reality that the dictionary itself is an anathema to you. You guys basically dismiss any policy discussion by just saying one of these words. "Oh that's socialism" "Oh that's librulz" and such then turn on your heals and run out of the room as if you actually made a point on anything.
So you can give your victim card a rest.
:lamo
Soooo "moderate" you are.
:lamo
LOL. You guys have been victims ever since losing over 1000 seats to Republicans, culminating in Trump's 2016 election win and subsequent confirmations of two conservative justices on the court.
Soooo "moderate" you are.

HAHAHAHA!!!! What is it with you people and Cuba and Venezuela. That's not Democratic Socialism, that's totalitarianism. Democratic Socialism in the style of Bernie Sanders has been working very very well in Canada, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Finland, Germany, Australia....
In fact, if you look at rankings of countries in the world by their quality of life you'll find that every country that's ahead of America has policies very similar to what Bernie Sanders is advocating for. You can quit with the Venezuela and Cuba crap they're not comparable at all.
Actual socialism is a damaging government structure.
Thankfully what we call "democratic socialism" isn't actually socialism, there's no attempt to control means of production. It's just a system of social programs to make sure that there's some base level of coverage and protection for all citizens.
Being social doesn't mean being socialist.

Cuba wasn’t a democracy in the first place under Bautista, so claimed that “democracy was discarded” isn’t really true.
Funny how the exact same thing is true every time a country starts down a far right wing path.
Most people on the left don't actually want socialism. What they want is Nordic capitalism. The Scandinavian countries operate under capitalism even though people constantly call it socialism. The left wants social safety nets and healthcare for all. They want young people to have access to college without needing to go into debt. They want people to make enough money at their jobs to live comfortably without needing welfare. Comparing what the left is fighting for to Venezuela or Cuba is dishonest at best.
Yep.
Leftists believe if it didn't work the first time, double down on it.
Bernie is a socialist the Nordic countries are capitalist with a market based economy. So no it isn't.
I'm attempting to straighten out a misunderstanding you are having. If you think Sanders is talking about Nordic style capitalism I'm afraid you are gravely mistaken on his views.
Chavez in Venezuela told the people there the same thing, and then it turned into something else. I agree that if all it means is more government services in a market based economy it would be no problem, but there is a big danger that leftist leaders won't stop at that.
I hope your are right, but I doubt it. There are socialist leaders in Sweden right now who want to go the full socialist route, but they don't have enough power yet.
Castro promised democracy. They still maintain that they are a democracy, but of course it isn't true at all.
The radical left wingers who many times end up running things want full socialism with, I suspect, most of the resources going into their own pockets.
When Castro took power in Cuba the people cheered because they thought that everyone would be equal and would want for nothing.
But Castro's government failed to run the economy in a rational or efficient manner, and Castro discarded democracy, using the military to maintain power. Many rights and freedoms were lost because only with coercion by force could Castro's socialist ideal be maintained. So everyone suffered and continue to suffer, and most of them have no way to escape this hell.
A few have managed to escape. One survivor, describing conditions in present day Cuba, said, "You don't see any future. Everything is stagnated. Health care, education—nowadays they're in ruins."
"[People who support socialism] should wake up," says Gloria Alvarez. She is from Guatemala and says, "I've seen the impact of socialism. My father escaped Cuba. My grandfather suffered under Communists in Hungary before escaping."
[...]
"As a child, I was taught to mock socialism," she says, "but democratic socialism sounded OK. It made sense that government should take care of the economy. Then I watched democratic socialism fail in Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Chile, Nicaragua, and Uruguay. I learned that every time a country started down the socialist path, it fails."

Huh. That’s odd. So then what do you make of this article:
Why Bernie Sanders Is Adopting a Nordic-Style Approach - The Atlantic
Sucks for him
America has a great deal of socialism, as a farmer with lower property taxes, income coming from the federal government. Ask people on Social Security how they love socialism. Ask people that are going to college with a grant or scholarship and even a student loan. Ask people that use the interstate highway system, or the local roads. Ask people that use the postal system. Socialism works.
Socialism works, but these folks are so ignorant that they don't even know that it's working for them. Their residual post-cold war neuroses and paranoias are exploited by the 1% to fight against their own interests. So actually, if you DO ask that farmer or the person on Social Security or going to college on a grant how they like socialism, and you word it that way, they will immediately whip out the American flags and would hack away at those very branches they are sitting on. If you are the Koch brothers, why would you not exploit such primitive ignorance and emotionalism?
Remember all those Tea Party placards back in 2009: "Stop socialized medicine and keep your hands off my Medicare!" ? :lamo

This is the people we are dealing with here. We are dealing with very ignorant and uneducated people. It's really hard to run a democracy when you have such a large segment of the electorate which remains so ignorant and subject to appeals to such primitive visceral emotionalism.
