So lefties want socialism because everybody would be in the same wealth class....

"Socialism" means government ownership of the means of production and nobody of account is advocating for it.

More stupid ass Trumpist blather. Boy, they sure do love shadowboxing with imagined straw men.

You already farted on moronically about socialism here:

Was Jesus a socialist?

Socialism is a economic and political philosophy that involves the government owning and operating the means of production on the behalf of the people. Under socialism the government also determines everyones worth. The pretense is it is done in the name of the people but it doesn't work that way. The former Soviet Union is an example of a socialist system. ... The country of North Korea is a socialist state, lacking a stock exchange, supporting many social programs, and the economy is state-run. Vietnam's economy is largely state-run and can therefore be considered to be following socialist policies.

Did Stalin, Hitler, or the president of Venezuela live at the same level as the peasants in their countries. Socialism is a huge lie.

Then why do you love it so much?

So which Dem has advocated for ALL businesses to be OWNED by the government? Otherwise, like the OP, you are LYING and your comments are dismissed as such. Why do you feel the need to flat out LIE? Is it ignorance on your part or just an inane desire to LIE?
They don't have to be owned to be controlled. It has the same effect.

Right wing propaganda is very effective

Not really. The country is moving past them. IF they were at all persuasive they wouldn’t be pleading with everyone to not vote in the upcoming election.

They’re a dying demo due to a dying ideology that has no natural perch in modern America.

They have a mixed economy, like the US.

Depends. Does your policy increase government control over the means of production and distribution of certain goods/services?

Great, so we're just talking about a mixed economy. I want a mixed economy, not socialism. Do you agree that this is what I am proposing?

Are you claiming there are Democrats advocating for all businesses to be controlled by the government, or are you just one of those people who thinks regulation and control are the same thing?

Yep.

Socialism is a form a slavery where the majority of the people work for the minority.

Where do you get this nonsense? Do you even understand what the definition of socialism is? Do you understand that definition?
any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

You can have a mixed market economy and socialism. The workers would own the means of production or business as private businesses. There are many businesses now that are owned collectively by their employees. Nobody said that those businesses would be operated by the government.

King Arthur flour or Bobs Red Mill.

Public or HyVee supermarket

Davy tree co.

Kiewit construction co.

.... Well then you guys then want EXTREME POVERTY for ALMOST EVERYONE who doesn't work for the government.

Lefties are so stupid they don't realize that socialism doesn't make everyone equal, there will be a lower class, and a elite upper class made up of the rich supporters of the party in power and the politicians. Do your homework.
The idea of democratic socialism is a fantasy, socialism is democratic.

Are you claiming there are Democrats advocating for all businesses to be controlled by the government, or are you just one of those people who thinks regulation and control are the same thing?
False choice. Well done. I'm claiming that regulation can easily grow into control if not closely watched.

I didn't get the democratic memo that everyone was supposed to be economically equal. Do you have a copy of it so I can read it because Bernie or George Soros didnt send me one?

You missed a bit:

Definition of socialism
1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

Great, so we're just talking about a mixed economy. I want a mixed economy, not socialism. Do you agree that this is what I am proposing?

Again, with socialism, the dose makes the poison, and I'm pretty sure the dose you want is poisonous.

Based on the above definition, do you support socializing the production and distribution of, say, news?

You missed a bit:

Who is advocating for 2a or 2b, or 3 because I haven't heard those being mentioned, except for republicans as they try to construct a strawman army. Did you read about this on Qanon?

I'm a market socialist and have a minor in political philosophy, so I know more than a little about the subject.

Based on the above definition, do you support socializing the production and distribution of, say, news?

How exactly do you socialize the production of the news, unless you are referring to free speech?

Or are you opposed to such news sources as the BBC, NPR and PBS that are quasi-publicly funded and among the most trustworthy?

Ok great. So can we stop pretending it's a discussion of socialism vs. capitalism?

And what makes you so sure? I've got a dozen countries where it's clearly not.

When all else fails blame Qanon, eh? No, I've read it on much more mainline (aka leftie sources.

WTF is a "market socialist" sound oxymoronic to me.

Has anyone proposed this?
Proposed it? It's the current method of operation for the media. If Biden farts that write a thousand words on its aroma, flavor, ideological mean, and how it was so much better than any fart Trump ever passed.

No, it still is; you just have to offer some rational dialog.
