Snowden Traded In for Favors?

They most have everything he has to offer as far as classified information so he's no longer of any use. Or they're tired of him living off of their dime.

I don't know if it is true but it wouldn't surprise me. Russia wouldn't have anything to lose by doing it. Trump is a much larger asset to Russia than Snowden.

As if they'll ever risk losing Trump as a puppet, after they gave him the presidency. It's more like trying to politically boost Trump and make Russia look to the public here as more of a plausible ally, so that Putin can turn around and invade the Balkans or whatever's next on his list

The amazing thing is that Americans are so foolish to believe Trump's crazed rhetoric that Snowden is the spy, when he revealed the extent that his own government is spying on law abiding citizen! See, defending civil liberties is treason to a wannabe dictator. At the same time, Trump applauds any leak of his political enemies, such as the DNC hacks

What Russia would have to lose is obviously no one in the foreseeable future will work from the inside to shame rival governments / politicians, and then turn to Russia for refuge. If all it takes is for the wind to blow a few years later, the next Snowden might just keep a lid on things. That's why he's correct that this proves he was never a spy for them like Trump bombastically labelled him

I hope it's not true...but I would not doubt it if it is.

Oh go figure, the bastards high up in government who are most vested in being able to spy on any citizen they want says he's the traitor who should be hung

Sounds like total communism to me

I see it as a mob thing. They even call Snowden a "gift." Reminds me of a scene from New Jack City...or maybe it was the Wire.

Looks like a trade for sanction relief and all the other passes trump/Bannon is giving to mother Russia.

Let's see how the Flynn/Logan Act matter works out with GOP lawmakers .

Snowden always was a pawn. But, deciding to go to Russia and trust Putin was his fault. Looks like he will live to regret that decision.

trump has to be wary of the 4th amendment caucus headed by Rand Paul and Justin Amash .

Much of what the new POTUS is doing doesn't bother me all that much, and some of his actions I even agree with in principle if not in how he's going about doing them.... but.... the way we seem to be signaling Russia that they can get away with invading other countries, supporting global terrorism with Iran, and supporting China in it's global and militaristic expansionism is more than just juvenile or amateurish, it's damned dangerous and borders on professional malfeasance and dereliction of duty by the POTUS.

Regarding Russia, Trump is either the most brilliant troll and negotiator that has ever existed, or he is putting our country at mortal risk -- either way, I'm extremely concerned.

That movie the Departed...everyone is spying on everyone while calling the other side the "rat" for doing the same thing. I'm sure there's a Sopranos like that as well

Only who started it in this case? The NSA of course with their secret no fly lists and pervy surveillance, not Snowden

I want to hear the wire taps the FBI has on Russian diplomats talking with Flynn about sanctions.

There's no way Flynn would be walking back his lies to Pence if he didn't know he was on tape .

4th, 6th, 1st, and maybe even the 7th and 8th before all is said and done. I doubt Trump cares about any of them other than maybe the 2nd.

Flynn may end up at Leavenworth before it's all over.

He knows.

He fled to hong kong first. I think he would've leaked what he did regardless

His problem was trusting the American people to be grateful for his efforts at a transparent government, that can't simply spy on your emails to look at nudes, or your phone records, or ban you from flying without any notice or appeal. The people in charge of this like that CIA director are the ones who should be convicted of treason and executed, and they know this, so they accuse Snowden of worse

Well if it weren't for their actions he'd have nothing juicy to leak

Until GOP Senators and Reps stop acting like cowards face to face with trump, this will only get worse.

trump's latest fascist shtick is to gather a group of bi-partisan lawmakers and blatantly and irrationally lie and/or smear, and every lawmaker in attendance is too cowardly to speak up .

Snowden should have just quit and then given the NYT an exclusive interview, providing them info on background. And, he certainly should not have fled to Russia.

trump's nonverbal actions are those of Mussoini. His verbal actions are those of a dangerous and lying bully who knows no one can speak back to the POTUS in a public forum. trump's secretive actions with Bannon/Miller are now starting to worry common-sense GOPs. Americans must keep the pressure on lawmakers until 11/06/2018 .
