Site slow

On my Apple IPad, the reaction and loading time of the Forum pages are still really slow (20 seconds), as only the top avatars will load right away, then freeze, the 10 seconds waiting time for more avatars, then 10 more for avatars at the bottom.

On my desktop PC (Firefox) and phone (Samsung) there's almost no delay anymore.

Are you still allowing Safari to block third-party cookies? It does so by default.

Guests are seeing a cached version of the forum, so there is a delay in what they see.

Not sure why you're posting, logging off and then back on again. Weird...
I've just logged about five minutes of what could, again, be a slow cache system. And this time having nothing to do with "Guest" status of a viewer. Well, I use "could" up there, and that should be "is" and I've worked with sites such like this and I am recognizing an oddity that I would have concerns about. I could create a pdf of the screenshots I just grabbed that outlines very clearly what I witnessed, if you'd care for the information. Well, if you don't already know something is glitchy.

Page loading is a constant mess.

When I'm using VPN I shut it off and page loads normally. This only lasts a while however before loading takes 3 or 4 clicks.

When I'm NOT using VPN I turn it on and the page loads normally. Lasts for a while and same same.

Either way page loading is a frustrating mess. Having to change my network connection seems to be involved in it.

The good news is that logging in is back to its regular reliable normal.

Site seems to be even slower to load since the last update/maintenance. 🤷‍♀️

The site has slowed down for me which means I can't do as much crap talking.

And I consider that profiling.

j/k. Now, off to clear cache, etc, etc.

Just cleared cookies, again. Slow to load log in page, when selecting a thread, the title underscores and needs to be selected once or twice more to load slowly and alerts are still slow to load and require multiple clicks, other than that…….

Another quirk I just noticed; when beginning a new thread and get the title filled out, it takes a few tries to get to the body of the post to fill out what you want to post.

Used to be once a title was filled out the post automatically opened the box for the body of the post to be filled in.

I think for the first time I am also experiencing a super slow type trouble. Almost feels like when Microsoft is firing up their Windows update system on one of my Windows units. That slows everything down for a bit.

I can only allow or disable all cookies on my Safari options.

If I disable them, many sites on the internet don't load, so I always keep cookies activated.

Even when I click the button enable cookies, the site is very slow ... just like when disabled.

On my desktop PC with Firefox and my phone Android, the Forum now loads smoothly again without much delays ...

Why is it just slow on Apple Safari ?

Has the problem been isolated to the Safari browser?

Site's got performance issues?

Ahem...

!!! Are we back!?

Compared to yesterday, it feels like old times. Snappier, responsive. Goes places when I click instead of lazily thinking about it.

Definitely faster today, we’ll see if it lasts. What was done, (in layman’s terms?)

It’s been working great so far for me this morning, board is moving fast, pages are loading quickly, after being really slow yesterday.

Thank you for all you do, can imagine how frustrating it’s been.

Agreed. Fingers crossed.

Seems faster to me.

I don't think it's going to help the Pacers tonight though.
