Shouldn't this "Obamacare" catagory be "Keiser Permenete"?

I understand Obama wanted Universal Healthcare. But Keiser Permenente are the ones who put the money in place. And just like many Obama bills, the Right would not agree until the bill was so bad it would make Obama look bad.

All Presidents work for the highest bidder. Universal healthcare has little to do with Obama. Many people want it and some big corp want to take advantage of it.

Today, Trump has Keiser Permenete as a top donor and says he will make a better plan. The small brains don't think Keiser has anything to do with that idea.

What kind of a f****** stupid lie is that? The right had nothing whatsoever to do with Obamacare. The right maintained that they hated it from the beginning, and they have been consistent about that. It was passed in spite of all opposition from the right, and with no support at all from the right. You assholes have got no one to blame for Obamacare but yourselves.

It might help if you demonstrated you possessed a fact or two about Obamacare. Alas, you have missed this important step.

Therefore; :bomb:

Also pretty much any amendment that was proposed was killed. There were proposals were portability, buying from other states and other things that were just shut down by Reid , or shuffled off to a committee who did nothing with it.

You are correct... other than the fact they designed it, promoted it and tested it... all before Obama came along and decided it wasn't a bad idea.

No question the right ran away from their idea as fast as they could once the Dems got behind it, but say it had "nothing whatsoever to do with it" is either ignorant, contemporary or disingenuous.

Well, except for all the amendments they added.

Not enough demorats were far enough left to get UHC attempted. The closest that they came was for an expanded Medicaid mandate but the SCOTUS removed that nonsense.

Well, it's true the right never supported it. But it's not true they had nothing to do with it. Almost 200 Republican amendments were accepted for the Act. And it was base on the Republican plan used in Massachusetts. In fact, when I looked at the Massachusetts state website for registering for it, it looked identical to the federal exchange site.

Of course, what may work for one state may not work for a huge country. Different demographics and all.

The "option" exchange is what substitutes for UHC. Many were surprised it existed. It seems to have been buried in the bill so that many didn't know about it. That's what I recall, anyway. The option exchange is what accounts for the decrease in uninsureds in the country (minus the ones who have lost their insurance, since there are some of those).

All amendments to the PPACA were accepted because moderate Democrats insisted on it and in spite of what Republicans said, the vast majority of whom just wanted the thing scrapped. The form the PPACA took was accepted because Obama needed the support of the insurance companies, same as Mass. Republicans.

Yes, that's correct. Republicans participated in designing the ACA.

Don't forget the part where I point out that Republicans were the originators of the plan, to begin with, in Massachusetts.
