Should the U.S. have open borders?

LOL

Another drone trying to propagate the BIG LIE®

Due process is following the processes proscribed by law. In the case of illegal aliens, the law proscribes deportation.

"Due Process" does not mean 20 million illegals that Biden imported collapsing our judicial system - though that is the plot of the deMS-13.
As expected. Due process here means following the procedures prescribed by law before taking action. In this case a hearing must be held before deportation. No hearing, no due process.

Really? Exclusive to illegal immigrants? Do you have a link? I cannot find anything regarding any such program. Quite frankly it sounds like made-up/twisted half-truth far-right propaganda, Bodi.

But I will tell you, even if that was the case and such a program existed for illegal immigrants, that does not engender any resentment towards illegal immigrants. That would just make me want to make the program available to everyone.

Not gonna try to find it. It was 25 years ago. Could have been through a bank.

That's not even remotely accurate.
I assay that Biden is screening in migrants who express the need for asylum. I was on the border during Trump’s first administration and saw the same thing happening every day to the migrants who came to the center I worked at. Each day ICE would tell us mow many they were to bring by that afternoon.

True, Biden didn’t lie about and insult the migrants as Trump still does.

Should anyone and everyone be permitted to emigrate to the U.S.?

Should they receive housing, medical care, food, education, and legal representation all paid for by current U.S. residents?

Should there be any reasons to disqualify a potential immigrant?
It used to be that way.
From the Statute of Liberty;

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!

Speaking as a liberal:

No.

Yes.

Yes.

I understand you want to make an all-or-nothing argument to build a strawman argument, but lets throw some reality into this.

During Trump's first term, the Democrats put out two bills that would have done the following: provide better pay/benefits/training/equipment/recruitment for agencies involved with the border to better protect said border, better and humane holding facilities that provide humanitarian and medical care for anyone caught crossing and to keep them there to prevent them from being released into the nation, provide far more lawyers to defend and prosecute as well as judges so that instead of taking months to years to determine legality and status (which is why they are released into the nation) it will only take weeks and deportations can be more immediate. So, why didn't it happen?

Because there was no wall spending.

Trump could've been a hero and pushed for this, preventing what you see today, but nooooooooo...his ego had to have that wall. Biden can be blamed for some of it, but it's Trump who really botched it.

Exactly as a said.

Oh, and it's "proscribed," ICE isn't giving out medicine. The process proscribed by law is to deport illegals

In this case a hearing must be held before deportation. No hearing, no due process.

Nope, that is the BIG LIE® seditionists are pumping. Due process, the procedure according to the law, is to deport illegal aliens.

Your plot to overwhelm the judicial systems in order to erase our borders and national sovereignty have no foundation in American Jurisprudence.

You seek to defy the law - you seek to deny due process.

That's an outright lie.

The only party that calls for open borders is the liberatarian party.

Don't you realize that the lies destroy your credibility.
When the Biden admin's priorities shifted from border security, border enforcement and national security to the processing of as many migrants into the country fast as was humanly possible vetting be damned, it is, by definition, a de-facto open border.

Biden rang the migrants 'dinner bell' with his public statements during his campaign, as is demonstrated below:
I'm sure this video clip has been posted multiple times here in these forums.

Rang the mass migration dinner bell, he did.

TIJUANA—In the weeks after Joe Biden’s inauguration, migrants across the city of Tijuana began to leave the various shelters and apartments where they’d been living in favor of an open-air encampment just north of the city’s center. It’s not a cheerful place; people have little to eat and there’s no running water. But it has a crucial location: It’s right next to the El Chaparral Port of Entry, the nearest legal crossing into the United States. Anticipating that the doors to the U.S. might soon open, they set up at the very foot of the country’s entrance.

Asylum-Seekers Hope Biden's Pledge To Welcome Immigrants Includes Them

JANUARY 22, 20215:14 PM ET
President Biden is promising kinder, more welcoming immigration policies — and raising hopes for asylum-seekers throughout the hemisphere.
Earlier this week, Guatemalan police beat back a caravan of thousands of Hondurans who were beginning the long trek to the United States border. Moreover, conditions driving people from their home countries — crime, violent spouses, joblessness and hurricane destruction — are not going away.
And this is what makes Texas border mayors nervous.
"It's not difficult to predict that we're gonna see some more individuals coming across our borders," says Trey Mendez, mayor of Brownsville, Texas. "So any sort of policy that may allow more individuals to cross is something we want to coordinate with the federal government."

You can believe so, but the citations dispel any such notion.

Next time those fact based assertions are made, will you call it 'just more bs'? I'm inclined to believe that you will.

The mess that was the border during Biden's admin is his and his alone, and his administration's.

I know you don't like it, but it is what it is. Facts don't care about your feelings.

Not in this universe.

Biden threw the borders wide open, effectively erased them and flew/bussed massive numbers of illegals deep in the heartland.

What makes you say they were illegal?

Why do you object to Biden encouraging people to come here to seek asylum? He was basically paraphrasing the Statue of Liberty.

You believe that Biden's motivation for his border priorities and policies which compromised border enforcement and border security as well as national security was his 'basically paraphrasing the Statue of Liberty'? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

How gullible and naive of you.

Here's Biden's motivation for creating that mess at the border, clearly.
Allot of posts in this thread are either ignoring or not acknowledging that this border crisis has been orchestrated from day one of Biden's term.

It was only when the polling results started to drag Biden down, threatening his campaigning is when he started to take any actions to reduce the influx of economic migrants.

Most of the forum members here appear to know, or even think about, why? Why has Biden done this?

Here is your answer:

Reapportionment after the 2020 Census gave additional seats to some states and reduced the number of seats held by seven. 6 states got more seats, 7 stated had their representatives reduced.

How is it possible to rationalize the purposeful manipulation of population in order to impact congressional apportionment for one political party's to gain power in congress anything but anti-Democracy?
Anything but 'gaming the system'?
Anything but "Political Power Uber Alles"?

Democrats, liberals, progressives, you have nothing to be proud of.

Congress are the ones taking the hatchet to Medicare and Medicaid.
And DOGE is going after fraud and waste? What's the problem? What exactly is being cut?
Enjoy the outcome of your vote.
I am immensely enjoying the outcome of my vote. At one point I wondered if I would live to see effective border control. Trump has accomplished that in a matter of weeks. I am a big fan of fair trade and bringing back the manufacturing industry to the US. That is in fact occurring. I am also a fan of cleaning up corruption in the FBI and Intelligence community. That is occurring. What should I be unhappy about?

What makes you say they were illegal?
Because no one is illegal - the entire world is entitled to flood into America, pick it clean, and move on...

Your plot to end the Constitutional Republic has failed, at least for the moment.

Fraud and corruption - which are the lifeblood of the democrat party.

Biden followed the law and treaties.

The video of Biden during the debate does not say what you all claim it does.

You all claim he says "THEY" (The migrants) need to surge to the border.

Listen to it.

That is not what he says.

He says "WE", (the government) need to surge ro the border to process the applications.

Listen to it.

I am so sick of the lies.

So you're just demagouging it. Got it.

This is still incentivizing the migrant rush to the border.
And I've already pointed out Biden's motivation behind doing so.

The lies in this whole thing are the multiple times Myorkis and the administration lied to congress and the people claiming that the border was secure, and that all was well, both demonstrably lies.

Listen to it.

I am so sick of the lies.
Rather surprising you don't seem to notice the greatest lies from the administration at all.
Clearly a case of your being a hyper-partisan.

This is still incentivizing the migrant rush to the border.
No it's not.

They have a right to apply for assylum. That is the law. If there is a back up, "We" need to surge to the border to process them.

I'm so sick of the lies.

What's it like to be constantly lied to and fall for it every time?

I would be looking for better sources of info if I were you.

Anybody should be allowed to come here and get free housing, free medical care, free food and free entertainment as they feel meets their needs. The US should subsidize absolutely anyone that asks for assistance because THAT is the only way we can save democracy!
