Isn't it kind of racist to assume that "Oh, no, Mary could have not possibly been that white because she was a Jew"?
SMH...where do you people come up with this?
It has nothing to do with her being a Jew...it has to do with the fact that the vast majority of the people who lived in that area of the world tended to be darker, olive-skinned, so in terms of historical fact, if Mary existed, it would almost be certain that she was not white due to the racial demographics of where she is from. Same goes for Jesus. Odds were he was not a tall, white man with a beard, but most likely a bit shorter, olive-skinned and very dark hair.
