Nope, he's entitled to free speech. She has just as much right to put up a billboard right next to it, saying "Sure, if my boyfriend wasn't such a douchebag".
I do not think so a medical issue and even so? I hope someone beats this dudes ass. What a prick!
If it isn't already against the law to baselessly accuse somebody of murder on billboard, it should be.
She's 18. He's 35. She got pregnant, wanted to get married, he refused. But he wants a say. I'd say he dropped his right to a say.
I haven't read this entire thread.. So if this was mentioned.. Sorry..
Should fathers have any rights or say in the abortion of a child?? As it is right now, a woman can decided to keep the baby and force him to pay child support for the next 18 years.. Or simply abort it and be done with the whole thing.. He really has no say at all currently..
Yes, a father should be able to force her to have the child, and then raise it on his own.. Yes, she should then be forced to pay child support..
Or.. Both parents have an abortion option.. Meaning he can waive his parental rights and be free from paying child support.. Much like a women does when she has an abortion.. The law currently favors the mothers.. To the point of almost being criminal in my opinion..
Should he take the sign down?? No.. While I am not sure I like the way it is worded.. He has every right as that babies father to express his views about abortion or her having an abortion.. If he can be stuck with 18 years of child support on her whim, she can live with a little embarrassment caused by a billboard..
As for the law?? It should support him 100%.. For the reasons mentioned above..
Abortion is base, and to many it is killing innocent life. Life that should enjoy the fullest protection of the law. Are people not allowed to express it so? Why?If it isn't already against the law to baselessly accuse somebody of murder on billboard, it should be.
I cannot accept the Court investing mothers and doctors with a constitutional right to exterminate human life.

You want your wife to live in fear of the kitchen?
You should have put a ring on her finger first you dumb ****. Seriously, **** you asshole, the abortion is as much your fault as it is hers. This is what happens when you choose not to act like a man; she can kill your children at-will and there isn't dick you can do about it. Way to go, father of the year. I hope you choke on your boyfriend's ****.
There are several reasons why the law doesn't support him.
1. It's obvious harassment
2. It's libel
3. It's an attempt at a disclosure of (alleged) medical records of someone else
Her name is mentioned on the billboard (NANI is a fake acronym which just happens to be her first name).
Also, something of note, the father can decide to use a condom or simply not have sex with the woman in the first place, I'd call that plenty of say. By your logic, a woman should be able to force the man to not wear a condom (if she wants the child, then who is he to say that she can't have it?).
I believe he should be forced to pay out of his own pocket for an ad in the same spot with his face and name and the slogan "I HARASS WOMEN", to be displayed for the same length of time as the original ad is displayed until he is forced to take it down.
In addition to court-ordered therapy.
On paper - yes.Nope. Free speech.
The problem with that is.. That would be harrassment and whoever did it would be liable and he could collect damages..
You all may not like this billboard.. But in reality.. There is nothing wrong with it and it is protected..
As I said in my other post.. As long as the public doesn't know her real name is Nani, and they didn't find out what her name is from him.. You can't legally touch him or the billboard.. That is just how the law works..
I said in my first post in this thread that I don't like the wording.. What I do like is how helpless it makes fathers appear.. We have no rights according to the law..
It is an issue that should be addressed.. There is no reason courts should favor the mothers when it comes to custody.. There is no reason a man should be forced to pay child support for 18 years for a 1 night stand.. Yes he could have wore a condomn, but he isn't the only one that should have done something.. As long as a women has a right to an abortion.. Which I believe they do.. Fathers should also have a right to an abortion of sorts.. We should have the right to walk away.. I can tell you right now, if a women had face the posibility of raising the child alone and bearing all the expences of raising it.. She might also thing twice about opening those legs or perhaps will put more thought into taking a pill..
It is all an issue of being fair.. She shouldn't be able to entrap him into providing her with an income for the next 18 years.. Even if it forces him to live beyond poverty..
She's not some nameless, faceless.
I dunno. I just think he gives new meaning to the word "jerk".
There's a reason why I noted, twice, that I wasn't talking about this particular case, but was speaking in general.
As I said, in this particular case, it sounds like this guy is just a douchebag.
Addressing the idea more generally though, have you considered that having one's SigOther abort one's unborn child against the father's wishes might drive the guy a bit around the bend? A man who wanted that baby, who wanted to be a father, who considered the unilateral abortion to be a shocking betrayal and repudiation of what he thought was a loving relationship, could easily be driven into a temporarily irrational state by such a situation. A reaction like this (billboard) might seem reasonable to someone who felt like their entire world had been laid waste by someone they trusted, in such a disturbed state.
Don't underestimate how terribly such a thing could break a man's heart and ruin his judgement, if he really wanted that child and it was snuffed out before he so much as had a chance to say "Wait a minute..."
(Again, I'm not talking about that guy in the story; I'm speaking more generally.)
We're always being asked to have compassion for the woman with an unwanted pregnancy; I'm turning the coin over and asking for some consideration about a man's feelings when his unborn's life is taken out of his hands without so much as a discussion.
doesn't know how the child died. He said: 'But if it was abortion, then my purpose is to try to prevent this from happening to someone else'.
He listens to a diverse range of music and lists Bill Gates and Satanist author Anton LaVey as 'people who inspire' him. He lists the TV show 'Big Love' and the 'Saw' movies as favourites.
A scumbag that refused to marry his pregnant girlfriend and then did this after she told him she miscarried?.
