Maybe but this a gun control thread.
I'm drawing a parallel.

I never said anything about restricting "individual freedom" or crime. I said persons who don't want to be shot shouldn't be shot. Do you have a problem with that?
there are a lot of sensible gun control measures that need to be taken
prohibit use of weapons having a military purpose
outlaw handguns
require a background check on all gun ownership transfers
register every gun in the nation
require jail time for possession of an illegal gun ... which will include every gun not found on the national registry by a specific date
and strictly enforce the new - and old - gun laws
will that be enough to rid our nation of illegal guns or gun related homicides? no. but it will be an effective start
and over time - as we can see from japan's experience - gun related tragedy will plummet

Too bad life isn't that simple. I have to say though, if people didn't do to others what those people don't want done to them a lot of bad issues would go away, but that's never going to be a reality. And people who don't want to be raped shouldn't be raped. You got a problem with that?

but you missed my point. in order to take out bambi, this would never be needed
and therefor, it should be found illegal to own/possess
And to take out the government should the need arise? Or are you one of those that think that the government will never and never strive/s towards tyranny?
i am one of those who believes the likes of armor piercing ammunition is not designed for defensive purposes but is intended to be used for offensive activities. which is why such items need to be prohibited to the public at large ... IF we truly seek to reduce gun violence
my assumption is that you see no limit to the destructive power which should be available to the man on the street and the devastation that accompanies such weaponry
glad you mention mexico
notice the influx of unregistered guns
and the correspondingly massive increase in gun violence
thanks for identifying a useful example why more gun controls are essential for our nation

Yeah, and those originally came from US government.
kind of makes you wonder why the dicknbush regime began that practice
No but it does make me wonder why Obama is still doing it.
wrong
Obama's administration ended the gun walking practices initiated during the dicknbush regime
