A shining example of partisan hypocrisy.
Thank you once again for proving my point.
Are you sipping something this morning? Partisan hypocrisy? Show me where I defended him at all? You keep avoiding the subject of this thread so it makes me wonder why you're posting in it at all?
Start a thread about Hackett and I will gladly express my point of view about him to you....but this thread is about the racist senator from Virginia, George Allen....
Do you think Allen is a racist? How do you feel about his years of fascination with the Confederate flag dating back to high school - which BTW was in California not the South...he grew up in Cali...
What's your opionion of Allen's opposition to a national holiday for Martin Luther King? Do you support him on that too? Do you think THAT was racially motivated or what?
See...these are questions related to this thread....how about some opinions, I'm curious?
Did you know that Allen has a history of physically abusing his siblings? What a guy!
So let's see....as a US Senator he makes racist remarks....
as a US Governor he opposes a national holiday for MLK.
While running for Governor he used the Confederate Flag in lots of his campaign ads and literature....
While in High School he had an unusual obsession with the Confederate Flag....even had a car painted with it....he used the flag in many things from 1967 through 2000....
He beat up his siblings.....
How do you feel about his owning stock in the company that makes the just approved "Plan B" emergency contraceptive yet he strongly opposes abortion rights?
As Governor, initiated contact with the Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC).
At a 1996 Conservative Political Action Conference attended by Governor Allen and CCC leaders, Allen suggested that the group join together for a photograph. The Nation Magazine obtained and published the resulting snapshot, which the CCC had printed in the summer 1996 edition of its Citizens Informer newsletter.
The CCC is designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Hackett? That's not relevant here...but I will say I do not agree with many things he's said and done...but I do agree with somethings re the handling of the Iraq War....Saw him once on HARDBALL where he ranted crazily accusing Bush of using Cocaine....Chris Matthews ate him up and spit him out....
