Bernie Sanders is keeping his progressive movement alive despite not winning the Democratic nomination for president. After speaking at the annual convention of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Thursday morning and taping an interview for "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" that afternoon, Sanders will return to the Town Hall performance venue in New York City, where he held a fundraiser last September.
The program is titled “Where We Go From Here" and began at 7pm EST.
Right now he's talking about immigration reform in NYC.

Most of the leftwing morons of the country are salivating at this dunces words, that's scary.
Most right wing morons of the country tend to salivate at denouncing his words when they never even listened to them.
See, that argument you just made is silly nonsense. I've listened to bernie. He's a ****ing grade a moron. Thats a conclusion based on his words, his plans, his ideas. Just because one disagrees does not mean one hasn't listened.

Hey, Renae, if you disagree then why not tell us why?
Yes, because college should be free for everybody.
Good gawd almighty, that is the most disturbing stupidity ever spewed by a politician. He has the economic understanding of a small child.
The entire premise of "Democrat Socialism" is for more, morally repugnant mob rule/voter bribery of the highest order. It's basically politicians competing for who can offer the most "gold from the treasury" for the benefit of their voters generally at the expense of others.
Free College!!! It's not free, you just spread the payment to everyone.
Free UHC!!! It's not free you just spread the payments to everyone.
Punish Rich Corporations with higher taxes!!! Corporations don't pay taxes, their clients and customers pay.
I reject pretty much every, tired old, sad idea that man stands for.

I don't get the move of backing Hillary but still taking his campaign to the convention?
Yes it should be. Just like it used to be. Of course you k ew that I'm sure.
You mean back when a college had about 100 males students and a degree was worth the same as dance lessons?
Who pays for all this "free" you want?
And you know what would happen. Then liberals would start to complain about how "hard" some college are. We'd have to dumb that down, too. This has already happened in bad school districts across the country, and people complain that tough entrance requirements at many schools are "racially biased."
The lowest common denominator rule always applies with this nonsense.

Yeah. Those ideas are crazy.
It's like Free High School. Who wants that? (Free universal high school- established in the late 19th century)
Or free/cheap health care for old people. What a stupid idea. (Medicare- 1965)
Or making people pay taxes. What a terrible idea. Everyone knows the economy grows faster with less taxes, so zero taxes are best!
Great analysis as always, Renae.
Actually, merit based scholarship is a very liberal idea. Conservatives simply don't want to spend the money required to make college affordable. In other words, conservatives are the ones who dumb down education by not funding it at all.
Yeah. Those ideas are crazy.

Conservatives understand that college is not a constitutional right. We also understand what "free" turns things into, and that a "free" college education would be virtually no more valuable than a high school diploma.
guaranteeing debt free access to tertiary education is common sense in a competitive global economy.
fowe should have solved that one during the Truman administration.
