Sanders and AOC Knock Dem Leaders for Failure to Endorse Mamdani: ‘Hakeem, You Watching?’

Oh good, more people that don’t know what “communist” means and display their ignorance.
Communism is a form of socialism. It is a stage between capitalism and communism.

========================================

"By 1888, Marxists employed the term socialism in place of communism, which had come to be considered an old-fashioned synonym for the former. It was not until 1917, with the October Revolution, that socialism came to be used to refer to a distinct stage between capitalism and communism. This intermediate stage was a concept introduced by Vladimir Lenin as a means to defend the Bolshevik seizure of power against traditional Marxist criticism that Russia's productive forces were not sufficiently developed for socialist revolution.<a

A distinction between communist and socialist as descriptors of political ideologies arose in 1918 after the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party renamed itself as the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, which resulted in the adjective Communist being used to refer to socialists who supported the politics and theories of Bolshevism, Leninism, and later in the 1920s those of Marxism–Leninism.

In spite of this common usage, Communist parties also continued to describe themselves as socialists dedicated to socialism."

It becomes more ignorant by the day. This lot never graduated highschool (my bet) or ever studied history. To them, Canada is communist, Australia, Germany, the UK, Japan, S Korea, oh hell, almost any first world country is communist.

Threads like this one just need to be laughed at, not taken seriously.

“The guy is running an extraordinary campaign,” Sanders said. “He has something like 80,000 volunteers knocking on doors. He is bringing people out who never voted. He is bringing Blacks and whites and Latinos and Asians — everybody together around a really strong agenda talking about affordability in New York. What is not to like?”

How about the fact that it's all bullshit? A socialist running on affordability is like an arsonist running for fire chief.

Mamdani, like many ‘democratic sociaists’, sees income/wealth as currently being improperly distributed, thus seeks to use government to properly redistribute income/wealth.

Most Americans see this, but don't seem to care to do anything about it. Why would any American feel Trump would have the best approach in dealing with it?

Only because I came across it this morning, yet another example of just how splendidly stupid is our doe-eyed Congresswoman from New York:

AOC once conflated the names of economists John Maynard Keynes and Milton Friedman and called him “Milton Keynes.”

Gosh, I forgot about that one. And it's even more hilarious when one remembers AOC got her undergraduate degree in -- get ready for it -- international relations and economics.

She really is a bubble head.

Give it a few years, and probably a good 70% (or more) of the country will feel the same way.

Yeah, I don't understand her appeal, but to each his own.
