Will Muscovite hybrid war machine succeed once again ? or this time, Trump administration will stop Putin and his fancy bears ?

Well of course they will.

I mean, it worked so well last time.

Even assuming they had no connection whatsoever to Trump, the hype and talk about it STILL benefited (and benefits) them.

but the USA (army, CIA, congress, FBI, etc.) knows today much more about Muscovite hybrid war machine, am i wrong ?

With the number of friends/family members/acquaintances I see posting what I consider obviously fake news on social media, the 2018 elections are going to be ripe for this sort of disinformation/misinformation campaign. Besides far better media literacy and critical thinking in most of the population, there aren't really any other solutions I think are compatible with the American principles of liberty espoused in the founding documents. This is definitely a conundrum that is exacerbated by partisan polarization and social media.
 
With trust eroding for the MSM then more rely on social media for their "news" - what could possibly go wrong? We have folks telling us "factual accounts" of what they thought of the SOTU speech that they never heard.

Personally, I don't think that the Russians are interested in helping one party or the other, but instead just sowing chaos more generally and destabilizing our democratic system. That's what they've been doing in Europe for quite some time now, not focusing on right or left, but fomenting political strife overall. In fact, I think their objective would be better served with a Democratic victory this fall than a Republican one, as the prospective impeachment of the President (successful or not) would certainly be a destabilizing and polarizing force.
 

I do not believe their govt really even has to do with any of it, russia is a country full of trolls, and they will troll politics, sports, music events, anything they can get their hands on. They have been this way on the internet since they had the internet.


Chaos is what trolls do, while the russian govt does not want chaos, they want some political division but they want to control opinion to those more favorable to them, while chaos hurts them just as bad as us. A good way to judge russia is not to look at western media that portrays russia as the boogeyman to blame for everyones ills, but rather to look at russias neighbors, who are directly influenced by russia, and see how they operate and realize their goals are not the boogeyman the cia and western powers make them to be, but rather them doing everything in their power to maintain control in their sphere of influence(eatern europe, china, north korea, and the middle east)

All they have to do if they havent already is work with La Raza, antifa and other anti American groups to assist them in more shophistocated methods to use voter fraud to help collapse America’s faith in its leaders. They will be glad to supply the guns and bombs if the left asks for them.
 
I largely agree with you here. Our media portrays Putin and Russia in general as far more powerful than they are today, and Putin as having more direct control over the country than he has. I agree that Russia is looking for a return to the 'spheres of influence' paradigm, as is China, but their neighbors are largely against this sort of international politics. In that way, I believe we need to oppose that national ideology and continue espousing our own, of international laws, state sovereignty, and human rights.

"folks"? We have some college kids. Do they represent all of America? Do they have anything to do with Russian interference into our democracy?

"Russian servers linked to DDoS attack on Netherlands financial network: Report"
The DDoS attacks that hit ABN Amro, ING and Rabobank over the weekend and on Monday, came from servers in Russia, according to security company ESET. The company adds that this does not automatically mean that the perpetrators are also in Russia, the Telegraaf reports.

The perpetrators used a so-called botnet - an army of hijacked computers and smart devices - to commit the DDoS attacks. Using the program Zbot, they remotely ordered these devices to visit a certain site en masse, thereby overloading the site's server and crashing the site. The command and control servers are mainly in Russia, ESET determined.

The security company points out that the perpetrators can be anyone ranging from bored teenagers to state hackers - DDoS attacks are easy to buy online.

The Tax Authority's site was also hit by a DDoS attack on Monday morning, leaving the site unavailable for a short period. ESET can't yet say whether this attack is linked to the attacks on the banks.

The Ministry of Justice and Security called the attacks on the Dutch institutions very advanced, according to BNR. "But for example Dutch banks are known in Europe for having their cyber security in order. You often see that this provokes more advanced attacks. We are now fighting at a very high level", the Ministry said. The Ministry can't yet say who is behind these attacks."

My point is how easy it is to "preach" to these people and they do vote. Keep in mind that these are some of the more educated among the general public.

Like there's any need to being that the guy that was the #1 threat to putin losing was disallowed to run for office by a kangaroo court and then arrested recently.


Hell even if Putin lost the count he'd make sure they weren't truly counted. Over there Putin is running things like a GOP wet dream.
