A common garbage argument I always hear from the right when we point out that the majority of Millionaires and Billionaires polled say they want to pay more in taxes is that if Millionaires want to pay more taxes they should do so voluntarily.
They say, "Why doesn't Bill Gates just cut a check to the government if he wants to do it?"

Okay, well since zero Republicans voted for the Stimulus Package I can only assume Republicans don't actually want the money. So will you return it?

Ummm...you're literally attempting to use the exact argument that this thread is designed to expose the stupidity of.

This is your argument, not ours. We want you to keep your stimulus checks because we want what is best for all Americans even the shitty ones. You are the ones arguing that if people vote for something they should just voluntarily do it, not us.

I will put my Biden dollars away to help cope with the inflation they will cause. just like I did with the other checks and my tax cut. Don't spend that money now; you will need it to pay the light bill next year.

What refund? I live in a tax state and local. I also leveraged my wealth on deductible mortgage interest, reinvesting the equity in an annuity and stocks. Trump's stupid tax cut marginally cost me money.

The only good news is that Trump screwed up the economy so bad. I could refi at a little over 2% and still maintain my profit margins on investment, even after losing the tax deduction on the mortgage.

I'm not a Republican, but even if I were, I wouldn't be returning the money. It'll go into my savings.

btw, your "Bill Gates" nonsense is irrelevant to the issue.

Why wouldnt Republicans take the refund. They feel they are overtaxed to begin with.
 
Ayn Rand made a career out of lambasting programs that helped people, and built her reputation on the glory of denying things like Social Security, right before she began collecting it for the rest of her bitter, miserable life.
So no, R's will NOT return their stimulus checks because it's all street theater for the ignorant rubes.

See....that's why you should go to a re-education camp. You simply don't understand money. You know how your wife says her money is her money and your money is her money....well...the government takes the same approach. It's ALL their money, but they will dole it out to you as they see fit. God knows you can't manage your own money, so they're from the government, and here to help. You should appreciate that they allow you to keep any of their money at all.
