BBC News - Sweden reinforcing police in riot-hit Stockholm
Sweden had a reputation for generosity and an especially welcoming attitude but now something is clearly going wrong. Several factors are to blame for this according to the media which include unemployment and Social equality but the main reason seems to be Sweden's immigration policy. Many of Sweden's immigrants come from worn torn countries and struggle to read and write which of course means they struggle to find work. Aje Carlbom, a social anthropologist at Malmo University goes as far as saying that integration with this generation of immigrants is a lost cause, a once welcoming country polls now show that the % of the population in favour of immigration is in decline. Angela Merkel said a couple of years ago that multiculturalism is dead and she received a lot of criticism for this but I'm beginning to wonder was she right or is this just a speedbump?

Looks like you ought to practice some more at connecting the dots. So here you go:
Ah the benefits of open borders....wake up America
your posts are starting to worry me Paris, is everything ok? Head injuries are not to be trifled with.
I'm just trying to keep you updated, mate. Angela Merkel has said a couple of weeks ago...

Try to keep up. Thanks.
( I was talking about the silly little picture)
As for Merkel still doesn't change what she said a couple of years ago but obviously she thinks that an increase in immigration can stop the "failure" as she put it. Its interesting though Paris because you seem to have jumped to the conclusion I'm anti-immigration but I have not leaned that way in this thread.
Sure. I'll let you in on the secrets of exegesis and semantic fields after you show me how good you are with dots.
(Back to our silly little picture)
I suppose we should be grateful that we are being flooded with Mexicans instad of Muslims. At least Mexicans understand our legal system and have been taught to admire us instead of to hate us because of their shady religion.
I don't understand why you keep referencing the "connect the dots" line, clearly I was correct in that thread they were Muslim terrorists. Do you have anything to say about the topic at hand? What is your take on the Swedish riots?
How do Hispanics "admire" us when they have no respect for our border? Yeah they understand our legal system - how to milk it and ignore it while crying racism.

The nightly riots began on Sunday in the north-western suburb of Husby, a deprived, largely immigrant area. It is believed they were sparked by the death of a man nearly a week before, who was shot by police after he allegedly threatened to kill them with a machete.
The rioting has raised questions about the success of the country's attempts to integrate foreign-born residents, who now make up some 15% of the population.
In Husby, more than 80% of the 12,000 or so inhabitants are from an immigrant background, and most are from Turkey, the Middle East and Somalia.
You were not correct in assuming that they belonged to another country. As British citizens, they are yours, so you can't simply flush them out with your SA-80's... If they feel at odds with you, maybe it's time to change the way you speak of them, instead of blaming their given choice of religion.
As to my take on the Swedish riots, it is the same as with the UK riots, a couple of years ago... They are the symptoms of a disenfranchised youth and it is high time we start offering them better opportunities. It's not only up to them to integrate in our society, it's also our responsibility to make it happen.
Didn't say they were from another country just that they were Muslim terrorists and please if they feel at odds with us and want to cause us harm then they can leave before they commit terrorism and treason. Do you suggest we bend over and accept their way of life so they don't attack us anymore?
I'd vote for this guy to be Prime Minister. - YouTube
This is an interview with British Iman which I posted earlier. He suggests that if you want to cause your country harm then you should leave but if you disagree with the establishment then you should participate more so you can change it. Look at how the successful the Indian immigrants from the 60's were! Not only have they immersed themselves in british culture but Britain has embraced their culture to the point where an Indian dish was voted our favourite British food.
When I lived in America for a few years I went to baseball games, celebrated July 4th and stood up for the national anthem. In Cyprus I enjoyed the local food, learned a bit of greek and tried to embrace the history of the island etc etc etc. Its not hard to do.
It might have been harder for you to assimilate with American culture, were the US waging war on England. I seem to remember it was a tad difficult for Japanese and German immigrants during WW2, who were constantly suspected of terrorism and treason as you call it.
We are not at war with Islam we are at war with Islamic fundamentalists, its not like the British government are rounding up our Muslims and putting them in prison camps or even raiding mosques etc. I don't think its unreasonable to want to protect our society, infrastructure etc from jihadists, I also don't think its unreasonable to act our Muslims population to be more vigilant in their community and to work with our security forces to find potential terrorists. Small price to pay to live in peace in a western democracy.
