RFK Jr., HHS to Link Autism to Tylenol Use in Pregnancy and Folate Deficiencies

Move along. This conversation is beyond you.

You dont understand the issue that much is clear.

Says the person who didn’t even know it was called Autism Spectrum Disorder.

My kid is autistic. Its not a disorder.
He just is what he is. You cant fix him.you cant train him to be like you or I. You work around him and create an environment to make him thrive the best he can.

Im being nice right now Josie. Im being polite for the sake of my kid at the moment and maybe you people could learn something..you need to learn the proper way to talk about this issue and not waste everyone's time with this ignorance from the 1950s

I’m not the one saying it’s a disorder, Plasma, nor is calling it a disorder from the 1950s. It’s in the DSM-5 as a neurodevelopmental disorder. That was published in 2013.

I’m not being impolite or rude either. It’s an objective fact.

I understand that you and others don’t think it should be called a disorder.

I think you should run to the parents of all the autistic children you know and let them know how you wanna fix their kids. One cure to fix them all. Like a snap of the fingers.

We know if they don't react positively it is cause they are lefties and they just dont see the brilliant studies you've seen.

😅

Yes you are. You are just shifting blame.

Clearly you don't or you would stop calling it that

The posts on this site would seem to indicate otherwise 🤷‍♀️

I’d say MAGA seems rather fixated on Covid.
We appear to be seeing things differently. I never mentioned MAGA.

Non vaxxed never think of covid? Proof?
The vaxxed CONSTANTLY think about opit? Proof?
Obviously cannot prove either. Goal was to put the mindset out there of WHY each side reacts the way they do.

Only one side is concerned about the topic.

RFK Jr’s Tylenol whisperer.

William Parker is a fringe researcher who says, despite a lack of firm evidence, that children taking Tylenol causes autism. Over the past month, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has spoken with him five times, Tom Bartlett reports.

No, only one side is pushing debunked conspiracy theories targeting a marginalized group.
The word "debunked" no longer has the power it used to. Some of those "conspiracies" appear to be coming true right in front of our eyes.

While also slashing funding for all the things we know DO help autistic children
No funds have been slashed for funding for special needs in schools at the fed level. It could very well happen at the state level though.

You indeed have a right to be concerned regardless if the DOE specifically states that federal funding will remain for special needs children.

AND also help provide best pregnancy outcomes
If the study does prove that Tylenol taken past 16 weeks of pregnancy could cause their child to be autistic, wouldn't that be a positive thing to know and help ladies make good choices?

No, they just fired all the staff at the DoE that was reviewing the complaints filed by parents of special education kids.

Completely neutering their ability to get a remedy when districts aren’t providing services

🙄

Go ahead and file your complaints…they’ll sit on a desk never even reviewed.

Actual complaints should go to the state which is who can actually enforce compliance. DOE cannot enforce anything.

Actual remedy is through law suites not by sending an email.

But that's not the way the system is set up, which, of course, has been pointed out several times: Federal laws, Federal enforcement - and, in this particular case, investigated and enforced by the DoE. Or, that's the way it used to be.

Changing the system so that investigation and enforcement are up to each state makes no sense. It also weakens enforcement, which, obviously, means the special needs children are left underserved. That anyone wants this to become the case is something I will never understand.

Nuh huh....

See my previous post in this thread for how the states get funding from the DOE.
Your statement "feels" right, but it's far from the truth.

But, let's say you are correct. Why are there still boys competing in girls sports at schools? Guaranteed there are plenty of people tattling on them.
Why didn't the DOE "police" scoop them up and arrest or "enforce" the new policy?

Guys, just leave all oversight of your kids to people who may wanna fix them with that one magical cure for autism we keep hearing about - but at the state level.

Don't trust the fedrul gubmint. Trust the state gubmint. Those guys are always on your side!

The state gubmints the minute cuts have to be made cause the fedrul gubmit thinks it can snap its fingers and fix autism :

Google it.

How about a very liberal website to help:

The non-vaxxed never thinks of Covid. They aren't spreading on purpose. It's not like communication about it is lost. They are constantly reminded.

The vaxxed CONSTANTLY thinks about it. It's a real threat.

Why do you think that is?
Because stupid people rarely think about their stupidity or the effects it can have, wherein smart people often think about how the collective actions of the stupid impact us all.

Well, your posts have demonstrated that you don’t have any clue what you’re posting about on the topic so 🤷‍♀️

The flaws in your logic are:
1. Everyone thinks they are smart.
2. Evolution theory shows that survival depends on the stupid according to your requirements.

Our evolution?

lol

Lots of people think they're smart when in fact they're ****ing idiots. Flat earthers, sov cits, anti-vaxxers, etc. it's time that we stop being ruled by the stupid.

As I've pointed out earlier in this thread, I'm not talking about funding.

I've pointed out that the DoE is the entity that investigates and enforces violations of the Federally-mandated assistance that is required to be provided to special needs students.

YOU can divert to "funding" as often as you want. I can't stop you. But in doing so, you're failing to address the DoE's vital role in investigating and enforcing Federal mandates for special needs students.
