There's no temper involved. He's presenting false equivalence that defends the KKK through minimizing the influence of racism in the organization. We know the KKK lynched black people that they damn well knew were innocent. We know the KKK did not lynch white people no matter how guilty. Rushing to judgement was not the problem, homicidal racism was the problem.
I suppose the problem with Nazis was also rushing to judgement? So anyone rushing to judgement is like the KKK and Nazis? Pathetic apologism for racism.
That was my point. The cited behavior is not the thing that made that group notable. Pretty sure if my history exam asked me to explain what was notable about the KKK and I answered "They rushed to judgment," I would not get an A.
