Republicans are Blaming Antifa. Really.

Matt Gaetz said, "some of the people who breached the Capitol today were not Trump supporters, they were masquerading as Trump supporters and in fact were members of the violent terrorist group antifa."
Eric Trump “liked” a tweet from the Trump ally Mark Burns declaring one of the people who stormed Congress “NOT a Trump supporter,” but rather, an antifa supporter. In fact, the person was Jake Angeli, known as QAnon Shaman. Angeli often appears in the unique outfit he wore Wednesday.
Brit Hume tweeted: "Do not be surprised if we learn in the days ahead that the Trump rioters were infiltrated by leftist extremists. Note: this is not to excuse any of them."
Former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, speaking on the network Wednesday night, said “I think a lot of it is the antifa folks.” Palin lamented the fact that Americans don’t trust the media to identify the perpetrators of the siege. “A lot of it is the media’s fault,” Palin said.

This is the problem. The political right is largely insane.
Have they ever told the truth? Serious question. I cannot recall there being an honest Republican since Abe. Certainly Ronnie was a lying piece of shit, as were both Bushes. Trump never tells the truth and the whole party followed suit.

I guess Ike was honest. But, Nixon more than made up for it.

Well, we know the name of one protester...

A West Virginia lawmaker took video of himself and other supporters of President Donald Trump rushing into the U.S. Capitol after they breached the security perimeter.
In the video by Republican Del. Derrick Evans, later deleted from his social media page, he is shown wearing a helmet and clamoring at the door to breach the building in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.

Either that or Republican Del. Derrick Evans is Antifa, but we all know he's "FA"

The military has a lot to say about people who attempt to palm off personal responsibility on someone else.
If I am not mistaken, if they find out someone did that, isn't the penalty for the infraction worse than if they had owned up?

Hell, I started that rumor months ago.

That antifa had acquired trump regalia so they could infiltrate MAGA ranks. That the MAGA next to you may be one of them.

I'm conflicted as to whether to be proud or not if it did come from me.

Because I said it a bunch of times here. And I'm sure some of our pros provide feedback to their handlers.

Post fail(LOL)

Isn't it something how it's been the radical right that have been murdering liberal protesters, and now they are the ones that have committed Insurrection and Rebellion against the United States, and murdered a Capitol Police officer, but they keep saying everyone else is worse?

****ing pathetic you people trying to take the blame away from your own people that did all of this. It was not ANTIFA that threw and American flag in the dirt so they could put up a Trump flag.

The "air force veteran" was a traitor that got shot trying to break into the wrong house, she got what she deserved.

Everyone of those who took part in the coupt earlier this week should face the maximum penalty. They are traitors to there country.

How many peaceful protests stormed the Capitol building to interfere with the transfer of power?

Churches were fire bombed. People were assaulted, beaten and killed. A police station was occupied and then burned. A Federal Court house was attacked and the "mostly peaceful protesters" tried to burn it down.

Is it only the particular location of the "mostly peaceful protest" that has you concerned?

They murdered a Capitol Police officer, brought guns, Molotov Cocktails and pipe bombs, and caused extensive damage to the historic Capitol building. Are you for real?

Can you grasp the significance of assaulting the center of power in a transfer of power for our entire country?

Trump's contribution to America in a single picture:

Standing after midnight in a Capitol Rotunda still littered with the dirt and detritus left behind by the mob that breached the building, [Representative Fred Upton of Michigan] said: “This is his legacy, not the tax cuts, not the judges. Today.”

Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who Mr. Trump has also demanded be unseated, offered a measure of deadpan when she said Republicans should part ways with their divisive leader. “I think today is a pretty good reason why,” Ms. Murkowski said walking into a Senate chamber surrounded by machine gun-bearing law enforcement officers.

I'm not endorsing the violence, assault, arson, murder or mayhem committed during this or any other "mostly peaceful protest" conducted over the last several months. Did you condemn other "mostly peaceful protests" as they were happeneing?

Regarding the weapons you list, were there explosions or fire bombs employed in the "mostly peaceful protest" that has you so upset? I've not heard of them.

Do you see no equivalencies in the frustrations felt by those who gathered in this "mostly peaceful protest" and in all of the other "mostly peaceful protests" across the last several months?

To me, the "mostly peaceful protestors" protesting in ALL of the "mostly peaceful protests" felt that they were not being listened to.

Are some "mostly peaceful protesters" justified in being frustrated while others are not?

Can you grasp the significance of assaulting the center of power in a transfer of power for our entire country?

I can.

Can you grasp that people across the political spectrum are frustrated feeling they've been lied to and ignored for years? Is one political position more justified to conduct a "mostly peaceful protest" than another?

I don't think any particular political position justifies the violence we've witnessed in any of the "mostly peaceful protests" over the last several months.

Do you?

You don't need fireworks when the cops guarding your goal bring cookies and help you down the stairs.

then maybe these “no one will listen to my rural white grievances” people should meet up with the “I’m African American and worry every day a cop will murder me” people and agree that solving their respective issues needn’t be a zero sum game, and choose to work together to solve these issues, and to firmly marginalize politicians who drive fear of the “other” to score political points.

lol

In what world have Trump supporters been lied to and ignored for years?

Has Trump lied to them? Sure, I guess. But that's their own fault for trusting them.

YES. Go back and look.

Regarding the weapons you list, were there explosions or fire bombs employed in the "mostly peaceful protest" that has you so upset? I've not heard of them.

I think they would have been used if they weren't escorted into the Capitol by some of the Police, or if they has been able to encounter the politicians.

Do you see no equivalencies in the frustrations felt by those who gathered in this "mostly peaceful protest" and in all of the other "mostly peaceful protests" across the last several months?

You sound like you are seeking justification, of which there isn't any for violent protest from anyone.

To me, the "mostly peaceful protestors" protesting in ALL of the "mostly peaceful protests" felt that they were not being listened to.

What can you say to someone so entrenched in lies spread by charlatans?

Are some "mostly peaceful protesters" justified in being frustrated while others are not?

What I will say about that is: isn't it interesting how the BLM protest at the Capitol was handled as a full military style response, while the MAGAs were practically ushered in.

I’m willing to wait until the dust settles to see who’s responsible for what. I know. It’s borrriiinnnggg...!

Its not boring. It is self serving. If it had been 10,000 chinese guys storming the capitol, I don't doubt you'd have an opinion. However, because it was 10,000 white folks, killing cops, spreading covid and destroying property, you need to wait for the dust to settle.

We see you chuckie, we've seen you for a looooooong time.

When someone calls an unorganized club of college students that occasionally punch nazis at demonstrations, "a violent terrorist organization", you know why. You know why a gaggle of nobodies, that have never killed anyone ever, is being elevated to The Great Boogeyman. It's a pretty obvious agenda being served there.

It's like calling New York Jets fans, "a violent terrorist organization". But the narrative isn't sports fandom, it's racism.

But it wasn’t 10,000 Chinese guys.

Are you able to understand the degree of insanity of the American elites and all that is happening?

Is mostly peaceful protest now being called treason?

I thought mostly peaceful protest was a blessed event as described over the last several months.

What's changed?

So looting a apple store is some sort of moral equivalent of looting the Capitol? It doesn't surprise me that many trump supporters can't recognize the extremely nuanced difference. Naturally false equivalency is the only reliable emotionally acceptable defense.

The QAnon Shaman, his views are well known. He has no connection to BLM or ANTIFA.

Nice try but you have been fooled again for believing memes.

when in a constant state of being fooled, is it grammatically correct to use "again"?

Election reform for what? To appease those who are detached from reality and bought into Trump's unhinged conspiracy theories? Our government is not, nor should it be in the business of mollifying deranged citizens.
At this point it's not a conspiracy theory. He was just being a con man trying to save face in case be lost.

How anyone believe him when he did this TWICE blows my mind.
