Red Fridays

Been there done that on whether you are ex military or not...My comment is what you got warned by the moderator about to tone it down.....I think you know....

Whatever dude.... I guess you don't know what Im talking about.

Anyways, Why have you failed to comment on either my nor Stace's posts on how you can REALLY support the troops?

Why has NOBODY commented on them?

Want me to be honest? The troops don't give a damn that people are "wearing red in thier honor"...... troops are just like everyone else, they are stingy mother ****ers. They want you to send candy, porno mags (that they aren't allowed to have), kool-aid (to mix with thier Hadji bottled water), sunflower seeds, nuts, chewing gum, etc. And, if you send them a personal letter, then they will usually write you back. They prefer thier "support" to be on a personal level, not some random "wearing red" crap.

Well, at least me and about 120 other paratroopers thought this way.

Yeah, because there's NO way a liberal or even someone that lives in a "blue state" could EVER support the troops.....
Sure there is, I just wish it was all liberals......
Your partisan hate is that strong? Wow. I mean, just... wow.

That's a nice sidestep from your point you made. Back to the other point. Where you're stating that you wish no liberals would support the troops.

Let me make this perfectly clear to you.....I wish every man and woman in this country would support the troops but sadly a lot of the leaders on the left do not...............

Proof?????

Just because they make negative comments about our mission in Iraq, in NO WAY means that they do not support our troops.

Supporting the Troops means more than talking good about them and thier mission all the time and being blind.

Supporting the troops, Like Ive said before, isn't something to throw around on the Media... "HEY LOOK AT ME.... I TALK GOOD ABOUT OUR TROOPS!"

Thousands of Americans show thier REAL support for the troops by sending personal letters, sending food, books, magazines, etc.... basically, TAKING ACTION!

Not just saying, "HEY LOOK AT ME, ITS COOL TO SUPPORT THE TROOPS, SO IM GOING TO BE ALL PUBLIC AND SAY, HEY! I SUPPORT THE TROOPS, VOTE FOR ME!!!"

When you say stupid things like I would never enlist today, or we are losing the war, or our military is broken it hurts the morale of the troops.........Don't believe me, believe General Pace, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He is the one that said it...............

I don't have to believe any of them.
Ive actually met Mr. Pace, here in Charlotte during the Coca-Cola 600 last year, I was a part of a multi-service detail to stand in dress uniform while NASCAR presented him with an award, that was when he was Vice-Chairman... I got his coin too........

Reguardless, he is a nice guy and all, but just because he is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, doesn't mean he speaks for the troops.

Frankly, I would expect more from a Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, why? I'll explain.

When anyone affiliated or connected in any way with the military, be it ex-military, or a Pentagon shrill, makes a comment like the one bolded above, what does it do? Well, I'll tell you what it does. It makes our soldiers look like a bunch of emotional pansies. Im sorry, real soldiers don't let thier morale be affected by comments from Politicians, Protestors, etc. So, Navy Pride, by saying that these comments hurt the troops morale, basically says that these comments hurt thier feelings, and thus, makes them look like a bunch of little emotional cry babies, which makes our soldiers look weak. In a sense, Navy Pride, you are saying our soldiers are weak. Is that the kinda message you want to give? Do you like it when someone twists your message around to suit thier own purposes? This is exactly what Conservatives do every day, and what they HAVE done to the people who have made the comments that you love to bring up soo much.

Now, on behalf of me and the other 131 soldiers from C Co 3/325th AIR, 82nd ABN DIV, that served in Iraq during this unit's most recent deployment from Dec 6 2004, to March 27 2005, for securing the first elections...... I have to say, that in no way does Mr. Pace speak on our behalf when he makes the troops out to be emotionally weak.
