Given that its Massachusetts and not the South or the MidWest I don't see any change at all. Remember most Republicans in the Northeast are viewed as RINOs. The fact he did it while the primary is still going on is interesting though.

I'm not a moderate, decidedly conservative, and I like this move if the guy has solid conservative views for the most part. Being gay does not make one unable to be a conservative in my mind, nor is one a conservatives simply because they follow the strictest of religious right views on it.

One can easily be conservative and come to the belief that homosexuals should have the right to be joined under the law based on conservative, not moderate, principles.
