nah my man here read this
U.S. Navy and Israeli warships moving towards Iran « Indus Asia Online Journal (iaoj)
How will you sleep at night, knowing that Al-Qaeda's best friend has nuclear weapons?
Hope you aren't talking about Iran there. Al-Qaeda hates Iran about as much as they hate the US.
When we first went into Afghanistan after 9/11, Iran was one of our biggest allies in the region.
It wasn't until we invaded Iraq that things went south between us. Even with that though, Iran and Al-Qaeda still hate each other.

...all I can say is WHAT THE ****?
That connection is doubtable at best. One agent said that, even though Zawahiris himself has publically held America and Iran on the same level.:lol::lol:
the first sign that someone doesn't know what they are talking about. how do you explain Dr.Zawahiris multiple links to Iran, fella? crosstraining?
HAH.
WRONG
In the wake of the 11 September 2001 attacks on the US, there were some tentative steps.
In Iran, vast crowds turned out on the streets and held candlelit vigils for the victims. Sixty-thousand spectators respected a minute's silence at Tehran's football stadium.
Taleban soldiers on the Iran border, 2001
Iran came close to a war with the Taleban
Some of Iran's leaders also sensed an opportunity. America quickly fixed its sights on the Taleban in Afghanistan with whom the Iranians had nearly come to war just three years earlier.
With a common enemy in the Taleban, the two found grounds to co-operate.
After the Afghan war, US negotiators worked closely with Iranian counterparts to form a new Afghan government.
lol, yeah, it wasn't until 03 that things wen't south. nossir. nope not atall. why, that 1979 capture of all those embassy personnel, the 1983 Marine Barracks Bombing, etc. etc. etc. etc.... why they never happened, right?
That connection is doubtable at best. One agent said that, even though Zawahiris himself has publically held America and Iran on the same level.
They happened, but we got all friendly. with Iran the moment your man Ronald Reagan started selling them military equipement to help them win the Iran-Iraq war.
Doesn't make Iran one of the USA's biggest allies by any stretch of the imagination...
it doesn't make them anything; Iran has a vested interest in improving the standing of the shia anti-taliban troops that they supported, and of course they are willing to adopt a hegemonic role in the region. this is the revolution who'se slogan was Death To America; their regime is not and will never be our friend, only our enemy.
I disagree that they will only remain our enemy. 70% of Iranians are under thirty years old and they are becoming more and more pro-Western with regards to ideas, freedoms and fashion. Women are forming underground movements for equality as well. If they can just get rid of the old hard core fundamentalists running the government, we would easily get along just as we do with Turkey.
therein lies the sticking point. the womens' underground isn't hell-bent on building nukes or supportiong tertiary organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah. this is sort of like saying "if everyone just got along there wouldn't be any war".
Regarding that they will only remain our enemy, it doesn't have to do much with, "if everyone just got along" since the point is that the majority of Iranians are pro-Western.
and - as i think the last 'election' generally proved - that doesn't matter in the slightest. Qods and their masters will continue to work with Hezbollah, the Badrists, and Shia groups in Afghanistan; as well as AQ umbrella (the enemy of my enemy....), Hugo Chavez, the ALBA alliance, Russia, China, etc.
You are a 'glass is half empty' kinda guy, huh?
It matters because if the people are pro-Western and they demand change (be it revolution or protest) they will get it... hence, it matters.
