Proof that Joe Biden is LYING about US oil production! US production plummeted under Biden!

This is just false. Biden is importing less than Trump did and is producing more.

You're wrong.

Why do you seek facts from propagandists?

You're wrong.

Why do you seek facts from propagandists?

You made the same mistake the OP did.

Biden has increased US oil production more than Trump did at this point in his presidency. Biden has approved more drilling than Trump did, and the big oil production fall off happened under Trump. Read the graph you cited. Oil production dropped massively under Trump. It's steadily increasing under Biden, and at a faster rate.

Don't believe everything you read in hyper-conservative propaganda pieces.

And you are avoiding reality.

13,000 barrels per day produced at the peak in the Trump years. 11,800 produced at Biden's peak.

Both peaks are in the past.

Nice try. Biden’s peak is not in the past because he is still president and his numbers are steadily increasing, and likely to beat Trump’s peak before his presidency is over. And the number of barrels per day produced dropped like a stone before Biden ever took office. Biden is producing more than Trump did at the end of his presidency, and more than Trump did at the same point in his own presidency.

That the recession took a bite out of the oil industry is not Biden’s fault.

Biden's peak, as of now in the real world, is in the past.

I would hope that the peak in the four years of Biden's presidency will be higher, but that is not assured.

Neither Biden nor Trump produced any oil at all. The oil companies produced oil, are producing oil and will produce oil.

Government and the lying thieves in it either hurt the efforts of private industry in America or get out of the way and let them do what they do.

Biden has said in various ways and at various times that he plans to end oil, transition away from oil and replace oil.

As Biden declares himself to be the lying thief promising to end their business, oil companies may see him as the lying thief trying to end their business.

If course, I could be wrong. Maybe the ongoing threats from Biden and Democrats aimed at the oil industry are interpreted by the oil industry as being friendly to the oil industry.

Lots of thing control worldwide oil production.

the president of America isn't one of them. That is unless he starts a war.

What other oil producers do effect U.S. oil production.

The Saudis and $30 a barrel oil killed U.S. shale oil production

After recovering from that along came covid which destroyed oil demand. I think that was the first time ever the price of oil went negative. There was no where left to store it

Should those companies producing on federal land pay a fair royalty to the US taxpayers?

This is a common misconception that conservatives are using for political gain. Yes, Biden wants to transition away from fossil fuels, as does pretty much every expert on the planet that isn't in the pocket of big oil.

That doesn't automatically equate to shortages in oil being Biden's doing. While that is an understandable assumption, it is in fact wrong in this case because Biden, for all his faults, is not irresponsible. He follows the experts and the science, and both tell us that you can't just shut off the oil spigot and expect green energy to blossom and start taking you to work everyday.

Biden is approving more drilling permits in the United States (permits requested by oil companies I remind you) than Trump did in his first year. It is the oil companies that are letting those permits expire without doing anything with them.

Here is an analogy for what Biden is doing: Imagine a mayor in an economically depressed town with a bunch of unused industrial parks. The people of the town want more business coming into town to help the economy. The mayor is continually signing off on rental agreements allowing companies from out of town to come in and rent out many of these properties, but the majority of these companies keep putting off actually moving in and spending the capital to restore the property due to economic uncertainty. They just rent the spaces and do nothing with them until the lease expires. The mayor then says: "I'm not zoning for any more industrial areas until we actually start using the ones we already have." Does it make sense in this scenario for the townspeople to blame the mayor's refusal to create more empty lots and empty buildings on contributing to the flagging economy? Yes, the town needs businesses, and saying you aren't going to create anymore business areas in this climate sounds bad. But if you can't use the ones you have, why create more?

This is a 5 year US govt oil production chart showing that when Trump came into office, he managed to counteract the Obama/Biden administration's decreases in US oil production, and greatly increased domestic oil production over the next few years. Production plateaued in 2020 and flattened out during Covid.. This is why gas cost $2.09 per gallon in Delaware here in late January 2021 when Trump left office. Months before Putin's invasion, the price here was $3.39/gal, now it's $4.29!

But once Biden took office, he went on an all-out assault on US energy(just as Obama famously called for in 2012, hoping for energy prices to SKYROCKET)! In his first days in office, Biden cancelled the Keystone pipeline, canceled a bunch of drilling leases, and banned oil and gas exploration on a massive amount of federal lands. He even attempted to shut off other existing oil pipelines! In the meantime he green-lit Putin's pipeline by removing Trump's sanctions on Nordstream(he just recently re-installed the sanctions). Here's the proof!

So why did you run away when people pointed out your graph does not show what you thought it did?

I did not know Biden was president in the first quarter of 2020. Good to know!

weak. Not one fact.

The highlight is a perfect illustration of the impact of Supply and demand on pricing levels.

Should those companies producing on federal land pay a fair royalty to the US taxpayers?

What do you feel is fair beyond the mutually agreed upon leasing arrangements entered into by the Feds and the companies?

Regarding your analogy, I FEEL like it is not a parallel to oil leases.

Until I hear Biden say and watch him implement policies that say "Drill, baby, drill!", I will believe what he said when he said IN THE REAL WORLD in may ways and at many times that he is going to shut down oil.

The FACT remains that fossil fuels are the most portable, cheapest, most power energy source ever employed by man.

Dreaming about a future that is not yet real and acting as if that dream is a reality is insanity.

What do you feel is fair beyond the mutually agreed upon leasing arrangements entered into by the Feds and the companies?

The current royalty rate on federal lands was set over 100 years ago at 12.5%. Would you run a business like that? The competition is state and private lands... The state of Texas charges 20-25% on state lands. Is 12.5% a fair royalty rate?

Biden is not doing that, and neither are most Democrats.

Acting to make that not-yet-real future happen sooner rather than later is not the same thing as pretending it's already here. We definitely DO need to transition away from fossil fuels, and greasing the wheels so to speak to make that happen is always good thing. But in the meantime, of course we need oil and Biden is giving oil companies all the permits for drilling in the United States that they are asking for.

Are the two rates based on exactly the same parameters?

Really doesn't matter, though. The price of anything is set by the willingness of people to pay the price.

LMAO... What parameters do you think would be different? We should double them immediately...

dumb dumb dumb dumb dubm. Biden personally controls if gas companies produce oil, and your garbage isn't even real as people have shown.

it's just troll after troll coming into this forum, and they really suck at it

So you are asserting that Biden is the friend of Big Oil and supports their requests and endorses their exploitation of all known reserves.

If that lie is the lie that makes you feel better, I can understand why you accept it.

Feeling good is more enjoyable than feeling bad.

If accepting this lie as truth makes you feel good, by all means, do it.

The 2022 Elections will be interesting.

When did Biden become president?

Jan 2021, from Jan 2021 oil production has increased in the US from about 10 million to 11.6 million on the chart you provided

I know interpreting charts can be difficult, but a person should know when the president took power, and be able to see the production at that time and compare it to the current time and see that production increased in that time frame

The decline in oil production occurred during Trumps time in office, and unless Biden has godlike powers, he had nothing to do with the decline in 2020. Ie Covid 19
