It's laughable for democrats to say they are concerned about poor Americans and how they are concerned about income inequality but here they are blocking a bill that ensure employers only hire Americans because those pro-Amnesty scum want amnesty for illegals.Apparently they got their mouths on the cocks of business owners as much as the corporatist in the republican party do. FLooding the legal labor market does two things. It keeps wages down because the more people you have available to do a job the less valuable that worker becomes. It puts Americans out of work. Both of which stretch welfare dollars.

http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2014/0...block-tax-credits-to-illegal-immigrants/enate Democrats blocked Republicans on Thursday from passing two bills that would require companies to verify the legal status of people before they hire them, and stop the government from handing out child tax credits to illegal immigrants. Sessions tried to get approval for the two bills after saying illegal immigration is swamping the U.S., which is leading to reduce wages for Americans and higher costs as these immigrants start improperly receiving federal tax benefits.

He first tried to pass the Accountability Through Electronic Verification Act, sponsored by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa.) That bill would require companies to verify whether possible employees are legally able to work in the country.
But Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) argued that this e-verify provision was in the Senate’s broad immigration bill that passed a year ago, and said Democrats aren’t looking to negotiate passage of sections of that bill.
“We are not going to take that bill apart piece by piece, as the senator from Alabama suggests,” Durbin said. “I object.”
Sessions said if the e-verify program can be accepted by Democrats in the larger bill, they should be able to approve it quickly this week.
f it’s so good, why don’t we bring it up and pass it now?” Sessions asked. “Why do we have to pass along with it a bill that will double the number of guest workers in the country, and would increase immigration?”

When we enacted the first version of this law at the state level in 2008 this administration sued us and our own Senator chose not to support it.

This seems like less "Democrats are pro illegal scum" and more "typical Washington political gamesmanship." I'd also be curious to see what kind of poison pills and riders were attached to the bill.

It's hard to claim Democrats are against e-verify when it was part of the immigration bill that Senate Democrats already passed.

Using something as a hostage to pass another bill does not make you a proponent of that thing you are holding hostage.

On top of that our president picks and chooses which laws he follows with executive orders. So how can anyone with a brain in their head who is against illegal immigration trust that this president won't just ignore any enforcements measures?

Might want to look at General Be tray us latest comments about North America.....wonder if they think Canada will sell out like the leftist in America?

When the demorats just say no it is called gamesmanship, when the republicants do the same it is called being obstructionist. The demorats know that amnesty will never sell on its own so they need to pretend that only "comprehensive" immigration reform is a good plan. The same trick was used in 1986 - amnesty now and better immigration law enforcement later.

When the Democrats do it they are pro-illegal scum; when the Republicans do it they're just standing up to the tyrant Obama. See, I can post hackish bull**** too.
