The tactics Trump relies in a debate are now well known.
We watched what he did in the 2016 debates, and we also watched as Hillz writhed like a flounder gasping for air, struggling to decide whether to issue a firm rebuke or "take the high road and soldier on".
Trump interrupted her every single time she spoke, and not just with one word grunts either.
Trump treated the debates the way he treats everything. They're on TV thus they must be a reality show.
Reality TV is at least partially responsible for his victory, at least a decade or two of conditioning to the point where many forget to draw distinctions between reality TV and reality itself.
And Trump is an absolute master of the reality TV genre.
So does Joe Biden have to carry himself the way Hillz did, or have we finally entered a new era where the only fight possible is one on their terms?
Trump intends to fight dirty, every single thing he's ever written, all his books focus on the folly of defining a fight in clean or dirty terms.
Trump makes it clear in no uncertain terms that the only way to really win a fight is to fight dirty, and assume your opponent already is.
For Trump, the perception that Dems want to be cordial and accommodating is the signal of a mark, a chump, one unworthy even of simple respect.
So, why is it important for Biden to intentionally bring a feather duster to a gunfight?
What are some suggestions on tactics that would work well for Joe Biden?
Post your thoughts here, please.
