I suspect the issue is that the current administration is scrubbing those records from history, and many of those who voted for this administration have no clue about history already.

Pete Hegseth violated both the Federal Records Act and the Espionage act using the Signal app to send information about imminent military operations to journalist Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic.

The scandal is known as Signalgate. You should look it up. A classic example of what happens when you don't hire your Secretary of Defense based on merit.

I was an independent in 2000. I feel like I've been pushed further to the left of the spectrum even though I often disagree with how Democrats run things as much as I disagree with how Republicans used to run things. I find myself disagreeing with most of what is considered as the right side of the spectrum these days in the US. It's unfortunate what the Republican party has allowed to creep in.
