As soon as China and the US come to terms the market will jump and business will grow. The U.S. is going to be better off. At least until another dumbass democrat gets into the white house.

The best case scenario here is that after Trump folds completely, allies and China after some time reduce their truly retaliatory tariffs. But there isn't much reason to expect that best case scenario when you piss in your allies faces, treat them like enemies, talk about invading and seizing a neighbor country, talk about seizing Greenland,
and start an even bigger trade war against China.
The most likely scenario is damage that lasts
at least one generation to America's economic and geopolitical standing. That we've permanently pushed the world towards China, to China's benefit and our detriment. That we've initiated a massive scientific, etc., brain drain by going after perfectly innocent visa holders and the like simply to keep the racist base happy, thus discouraging anyone from coming here to study and contribute.
