Prediction - Democrats will win both Senate seats in the Georgia Run-off

Apparently you weren't paying attention when several moderate democrat senators said they would not go along with increasing the size of the SCOTUS.
And yes it was McConnell who sat with a house covid package on his desk for 2 months and did nothing, not even a counteroffer.
And aren't you guys the party of fiscal restraint, so why give tax cuts in a good economy instead of reducing the deficit? Oh thats right, I forgot, you are only deficit hawks during democratic administrations.

nah, I would make him work 60 hours a week paying people back, rather than wasting 50K of our tax dollars keeping him locked up

Simple, the Dems are insisting on pork barrel payoff money to bail out their poorly managed liberal dominated cities and states. There's also money for other liberal socialist pork barrel schemes that don't stand a chance in hell of getting money any other way. The Republicans will pass and the Prez will sign for money for covid related aid. Get the aid out to those who need it and negotiate for the bailouts for their friends later.
OBTW you do know that logic has nothing to do with it don't you?

Yes. I know you are not using logic
Those cities in trouble? Bailing them out means cops can patrol the streets. That teachers get paid. That fireman and emts can save lives in the middle of a pandemic that city services like sewer and garbage can continue. That streets can be plowed free of snow. And a myriad of other services that are needed to have a functioning economy. And those areas are part of the larger economy.
If those areas fail..likely your area also feels the pain.
The Republicans couldn't even take up the house relief bill because frankly..the republicwns were too afraid of trump. They started negotiations late June and early July. With the first covide relief bill expiring. They didn't start negotiations with dems on the house bill. Oh no..McConnell started negotiations with The White House. Because Trump is a loose cannon and will change his mind and blast publicly a plan he earlier supported privately. The Republicans cannot trust trump. That's why it stalled. No republican wants to compromise on a plan unless they know trump won't flip the scrip and go against it.

oh trust me, if he was properly disciplined he wouldn't be embezzling anyone. Why waste 45K a year on his imprisonment. Make him work like a slave for the rest of his life

I honestly think different people benefit depending on which party is in the house. Usually. Trump is a whole new experience and our country is ill, broke, and scared. I don't think this administration represents either party. I do think in this climate the Dems represent a life raft.

It’s not legal to shoot him after the fact, though a jury might buy a self-defense argument if the perp continues threatening the shooter. But, if the guy is walking away when the victim pulls the trigger, he’ll do serious time.

Suppose he just refused? What would motivate him? If he just said "I'm not getting out of bed" what are the consequences?

That still doesn't change the fact Raffensperger is conducting investigations into some of the groups that were getting people out to vote. Whether there's any merit to the claims made against them we'll see soon enough. Given the pressure Raffensperger’s under, one has to wonder whether these claims are based on anything real or just done to placate his critics.

At the end of the day... the republicans are most likely to win. Democrats have been underestimating the Trump phenomena for 5 years now.
 
If the people vote, the GOP loses every time. That is why they always try to suppress the vote.
