most americans haven' t the education to really discuss the issue. And most Americans believe there is an individual right to own a firearm. Democrat politicians tend to want to piss all over that

Conservative to me means smaller more effective government.
Government staying out of your healthcate decisions and your personal decisions of what you watch read or put in your body
It means being fiscally conservative. Setting taxes and spending accordingly.
That the government serves all people equally..according to equal protection under the law. Not according to the color of your skin or gender.
By the way..we have been over this. You personally benefit way more from government spending than 10 poor people who get everything they need to survive from the government.
Patent protection alone..has garnered more value to you and your family than their cost.
But then all the other services you benefit from. From military protection..to civil courts. So on and so forth are worth way way more to you..than the average dude.

Most Americans believe there is a right to own a firearm, just like they believe there is a right to vote. Should there be any requirements to do either?

Most Americans are concerned about the proliferation of firearms in the country. There is no huge movement to ban guns.

you apparently are unable to understand the difference between a judicially imposed sentence after a finding of guilt and restraining an accused criminal who fails to comply with the lawful instructions of a police officer.

So.. he is free to break into others peoples houses..to get the money to pay you. So he can keep breaking into houses and finance the times he gets caught by further theft.
This doesn't seem like a good plan.

Highly unlikely to see one from each party elected. I can't imagine a voter splitting a ticket when there are only 2 candidates. Either both republicans or both democrats will win. I'm hoping it's the democrats, but not optimistic.

as a "moderate" don't you think we'd have more compromise and more moderate positions if the House and Biden couldn't get massive tax hikes through the senate or do idiocy like pack the supreme court or create 2-3 more guaranteed Democrat states

There will be no supreme court packing if dems win the senate. However, rolling back the Trump tax cuts and getting covid relief will be possible if Mitch is relegated to the minority.

I guess you want other people to pay more taxes. And it was not Mitch who held up COVID relief. If the GOP wins the senate, there will certainly be no court packing. If the dems win the senate, a bunch of them have demanded adding more justices. SO you apparently aren't paying attention
