Poor baby, do us all a favor and quit.

Just read her entire statement. What a clueless twat. She should resign from Congress go to whine for OAN, and leave the rest of us free from her entitled crazy.

“The nature of this job, it keeps members of Congress and senators in Washington so much of the time—too much of the time, to be honest with you—that we don’t get to go home and spend more time with our families, our friends, all in our district, or maybe just be regular people,” the Georgia lawmaker grumbled. “Because this job is so demanding, it’s turned into practically year-round.”

She continued: “And for those of us in the House of Representatives, we have to run for Congress every two years. So you’re practically campaigning nearly the entire time that you’re here serving as a representative.”

"Becoming a member of Congress has made my life miserable. I made a lot more money before I got here. I’ve lost money since I’ve gotten here. …It’s not a life that I think is like something that I enjoy because I don’t enjoy it.”
Sounds like she's fixin' to quit.

The most votes in history harvested for the "uninspiring figure". No doubt the zuckerboxes collected more ballots for the guy hiding in his basement.
And there it is. No possible way Trump turned off so many people that 81M would rather vote for a ham sandwich. He's just too bigly amazing!

FRAUD! TYRANNY! STORM THE CAPITOL! HANG MIKE PENCE!

Freakish cultism. Sad.

Hopefully she'll be gone in a Democratic wave.
MTG is from a safe Republican district. If she’s going to be ousted it will have to be in the Republican Primary. No Democrats will ever win in her district. As for a wave election, either way, that will depend on who each party nominates. The best way for a Democratic wave election would be for the Republicans to nominate Trump again. Independents don’t like him much. History has shown folks usually won’t vote for someone they dislike. Which is important as the Republican Party is still the smaller of the two major parties, hence if they don’t win the independent vote, they lose the election.

On the other hand, the Democrats have to be careful not to make the same mistake they did in 2016 by nominating someone as disliked by independents as Trump.

Without any official duties, Marge has educated herself about how Congress works……😆

Trump has 5, Hillary -2, she had the New Moon, but Sanders 7 would have been the sure thing.

Biden's 10 has no New Moon, but beats most other Candidates like Desantis 2, Rubio 6, or Ted Cruz -10.

Mark Kelly has six, Newsome 7 must wait until 2028 after his Saturn Return (59, election year-third in office). Barbara Lee has 16.

Party in power has the New Moon in 2028. Kamala -14, Pete -6.

Then GTFO.

When you have a moment, what are your thoughts on someone like this winning MTG's district?

For every MTG there is an AOC

I’m surprised she doesn’t get volunteer security from some of the crazy, redneck militias- Blonde, white lady with a big gun- yet sensible enough to wear a blazer to the gun range… Most endangered species ever.
🤮
Bottle blonde with far too much botox, it's seeped into her brain.

and she has to work and campaign... she's got quite the nerve.
So she is complaining at having to work full time for her salary?

Hmm....

She should ask Joey how to turn a government DC salary into multi millions while sending his children to private schools.
Book deals and speaking tours, it's what most do. Look at Pence and what he charges for a speaking engagement?

It's not illegal

It is about the struggle that those in congress have supporting a family, their home in the district and a place to live in DC. Greene was vocal about that struggle. AOC has been too. There is routine controversy with legislators living in their offices while in session.
Due to a rule change to address this very issue, members can be reimbursed up to $34,000 per year (average rent in DC is between %1800 to $2300) of cost of living.

On top of the MRA's that each member gets.

On top of their salary.

And let's not even start on the benefits members get to enjoy....

And let us be honest....costs, benefits, MRA's, pay etc. are all things that could have been taken into account before running for office. She should have done the math before running.

SIDE NOTE: I seem to recall the right wanting to cut all of those things to trim the budget....yet here you are asking for more money for the very things you wanted to cut.....

What's MRA'S? Meals? Motels? Mileage? Medical?

I wish I'd ever had a job that reimbursed me for my rent. Do these guys know how lucky they are?

MTG probably wouldn't be so unhappy if she wasn't recently divorced. Blame the boss!

I agree that the Democratic Party is no longer the party of the middle class, especially the white middle class, the working man. The Democratic Party lost those folks when Reagan came along. I remember when the Democratic Party was known as the big tent party which included the working man and the middle class. The Republican Party was called the country club party, the businessman’s party. From FDR until Reagan, being the big tent party enabled the Democrats to control the house for 58 out of 62 years 1932-1994 which included 40 straight years. The senate in 54 out of those 62 years.

As much as Marie Gluesenkamp Perez seems to be the answer, she wouldn’t be in MTG 14th Georgia District. MTG and Trump won that district with 75% of the vote. Going back Romney and the previous District representative Graves also won with 75% give or take a point or two. There’re other districts where Perez could have made a difference. She could win statewide. Georgia is close to being evenly split between Republicans and Democrats, a PVI of R+3. Which simply means the Democrats must win the independent vote or lose the election. The problem is Democrats continue to nominate Atlanta liberals which doesn’t play well with independents. Their elitism and along with their I know what’s best for you, you don’t attitude usually loses the independent middle class.

Georgia does have two democratic senators, proving they can win the independent vote. But Georgia independents don’t like Trump nor his chosen candidates which was the reason those two won. Had the Republican run non-Trump chosen candidates for the senate, they’d have won like Kemp and Raffensperger did last midterm. Both won easily and won the independent vote whereas Walker, Trump chosen, lost independents to Democratic Warnock. Perez could and probably would win statewide here. But not in MTG’s 14th district.

No, I am not asking for more money. I am asking how any public servant becomes wealthy in DC? Nixon was president when a very young Joe Biden was elected to the senate. He has never worked in the private sector.

Here’s a thought.

If a member of Congress has to wonk over the salary, seek other employment…

It sort of does.........

AOC went on a tizzy about not making enough money as a Congresswoman.

She knew the costs of keeping two overpriced apartments before she decided to take on the job...................but now it's everybody elses fault?
