Poll: Views of Democratic Party Hit Lowest Mark in 25 years

Deep Blue States like Virginia had a 66-34 GOP margin in the House of Delegates until yesterday ...

And both of their Senators are Democrats. Nimby, we both know Virginia, especially Northern Virginia, is a Dem stronghold.

And both of their Senators are Democrats. Nimby, we both know Virginia, especially Northern Virginia, is a Dem stronghold.

Is this why the GOP in Virginia currently has a 7-4 edge in the US House? How about the GOP 21-19 edge in the Virginia Senate? Or the 66-34 lead in the House before last night?

Or could it be Virginia's bastardized gerrymandered maps? DEMs outvoted GOPs in totality in Virginia's 11 CDs last year but still lost 4-7. DEMs slaughtered GOPs in totality in the 100 House races last night but may not win the House.

It's all about redistricting. Best for the GOP to keep trump through 2020, please. Best for GOPs to win the House 218-217 next year, since they can't get anything done now at 241-194. Same with the Senate.

And Rauner's going down ...

Poll: Views of Democratic Party hit lowest mark in 25 years - CNNPolitics

" Washington (CNN)Favorable views of the Democratic Party have dropped to their lowest mark in more than a quarter century of polling, according to new numbers from a CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

Only 37% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Democrats, down from 44% in March of this year. A majority, 54%, have an unfavorable view, matching their highest mark in polls from CNN and SSRS, CNN/ORC and CNN/USA Today/Gallup stretching back to 1992"

Odd, a year after Trump was elected you would have thought the rampant Trump hatred would have payed off Politically by now. Apparently no, and your'e doing a bang up job Democrats :2wave:

Well done. How could they have possibly F'd things up more than they did? Then re-elect Pelosi as the party House leader?

Virginia is a blue State that hasnt elected a Republican to State office since 2009

It was carried by Hillary and at the time Govermed by Terry McAullife, who was also a Democrat

McAullife was the ass clown Governor who gave 13,000 convicted felons the right to vote just prior to last years election to tip the odds in Hillary's favor.

Believe it or not, Virginians didnt seem to have a problem with that. Nope, McAullife was popular and well liked.

A record number of people signed up for Obamacare for 2018. You might want to think Democratic policies aren't working but it doesn't make it true.

A record number of people signed up because they were afraid that Republicans would pass something and leave them high and dry for healthcare. Which, by the way, is just a fear like I have seen people have the fear for decades that social security won't be there when they retire. The fear of Democrats passing gun control legislation under Obama caused the explosion of gun purchases and gun manufacturers and gun sellers had exponential sales growth. Since Trump has been in office gun sales have plummeted. So, you lefties ought to be glad Trump and the Republicans are in control. Not only has it helped your precious Obamacare but gun sales are plummeting.

Oh, believe me I am glad Trump and the GOP are in control. It's demonstrating to our nation the horror of the result of voting incorrectly. That's why the Dems are coming back, beginning in 2018.

Democrats lost over 1000 seats nationwide during the last six years because voters realized what the result of voting incorrectly was. That's the trouble with both sides, they never seem to realize that voters don't want any of them (a big reason why a populist won). Democrats get into power and screw up so voters vote in Republicans and then when that doesn't work out they vote Democrats back in and when that doesn't work out they vote Republicans back in and it swings back and forth for all eternity, with both sides being blindly oblivious to the fact that neither knows what they are doing and that the voters don't really want any of them from either side. But, both parties have the system rigged so that only one of the two of them can win so we are stuck with a government that never knows what they are doing, no matter which side is in power.

Before yesterday the state reps were 66-34 GOP-DEM. Why?

It was carried by Hillary and at the time Govermed by Terry McAullife, who was also a Democrat

Correction: 13,000 men and women who had served their time. People weren't voting from prison, dude.
Also, Hillary got nearly 200,000 more votes in Virginia. Nothing tipped.

Believe it or not, Virginians didnt seem to have a problem with that. Nope, McAullife was popular and well liked.
I have no problem with people getting their voting rights back after serving their sentence.

Obama showed everyone just how irrelevent approval ratings are, or how innacurate.

His approval ratings consistently hovered around 50 percent while his party suffered staggering loses throughout his Presidency.

His high approval ratings couldnt even help Hillary beat Trump

The reality is Democrats running for re-election were forced to disconnect from his Policies and his agenda.

They couldnt run on healthcare, the economy or foreign policy, instead relying on identity politics and pandering to win over voters.

Some things never change I suppose.

Pres Obama also showed that a high approval rating didn't save his party in mid terms. The party in power almost always loses midterms.

Great see Democrats Kicking Republican candidates in the ass.....Expect more beatdowns of the GOP if they continue to support that idiot trump

I'm pretty sure people will sign up for Healthcare because they actually need it. I don't think people are like "healthcare changes might take place, time to stock up on some healthcare before the take away my healthcare"

That is true, and that includes the GOP elites.
Democrats in a attempt to distance themselves from the elites in their party have decided to turn Left, and run on a platform thats heavy on identity politics and light on policy

The problem with that is its a divisive strategy with limited appeal. They may impress younger voters and maybe even Bernie Sanders suporters, but they're alienating working class Americans and the Middle class who have more substative concerns.

Your original article, states that Republicans have a worse appeal than Democrats, so your assessments seem misguided.

Great to see all the excuses and double talk from the GOP toadies trying to deny the beatdown they got on Tuesday

Except these record low poll numbers for the Democrats align nicely with the last 7 years of election losses.

Either you didn’t perform proper research, or you know the facts of the poll of Republicans and simply believe what you do, and damn the facts.

Republican: Favorable 33.0%; Unfavorable 55.9%
Democrat: Favorable 37%; Unfavorable 54%

See:

Republican Party Favorable Rating - Polls - HuffPost Pollster

Nonetheless, I’d be interested in any data you can find that will counter my refutation of your “claim”.

Lol ! Democrats win in a Blue State that hasn't elected a Republican to a State seat since 2009 .

Hillary carried Virginia by the way and Northam took over for McAullife, also a Democrat

Some beat down

Which party controls both Houses of Congress ? Which party won the Presidency ?

Which party controls both Houses of Congress ? Which party won the Presidency ?

You’re missing the point. I did not say that Republicans are worse and Dems are better. The fact is, most people don’t like either party. I’m responding to the poster’s failure to have given basic fact that, if included, would have made the post pointless.

“Which party controls both Houses of Congress ? Which party won the Presidency ?”

Yeah. And look at all they got done, with a Republican president, who openly disdains Republican leaders, and a Republican House and Senate, where the Republicans openly disagree with each other and the President.
