According to the latest IBD/TIPP Presdential Leadership Index,
IBD/TIPP Poll: President Obama's Approval Dives To Record Low On NSA, IRS - Investors.com
Obama's approval rating is at a record low. The Presidential Leadership Index dropped to 43% from 49% a month ago. "The 11.7% slide was the worst since Obama took office. For the fourth straight month, the reading stood below 50, signaling disapproval." The survey was conducted by TechnoMetrica and took place June 24-29 among 857 adults.

"Each day that passes there's a new mention of these things," TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence President Raghavan Mayur said of the NSA, IRS and other scandals. "They seem to kind of fester. They don't seem to go away."

The recently revealed government surveillance program was not well-received by the public. Fifty-nine percent said the government surveillance invades innocent American's privacy and the split among independents was even more pronounced with 75% saying so. Democrats were not thrilled either, as 42% felt that the surveillance invaded privacy.

Obama did not fare well on the issue of IRS targeting, as 48% believe White House officials ordered the targeting.

Give it some time. remember it took over a year of the Watergate investigation before Nixon was forced out of office and he only had one scandal going on Obama has --- hell i lost count

I am sort of glad Romney lost. Obama getting kicked out of office will be more damaging to the democrats and the communist liberal policies then it would if Obama lost the reelection. It will take years to recover if ever. remember the train wreck of Obama care will be kicking in soon also.

History has always been nicer to a 1 term president then they are to one getting forced out of office. every one remembers Nixon and the scandal that forced him out of office. not to many could tell you the last 1 term president

Craters? A little over dramatic?

dropping 6% in one month i would call Cratering. Nixons dropped less then that when the watergate scandell broke

The average on RCP has him going down about 3.5%. Kind of surprised it is that low given what the month of June brought him.

No you aren't, and no he isn't. Being delusional about it, won't make it change.

RCP uses an average of all polls even polls that are a month old

I bet they said the same thing about Nixon one month into the Watergate investigation

It really doesn't matter, since he is not up for re-election. As for the possibility of impeachment? Highly doubtful since he didn't create the mess (it was going on during the Bush jr. Presidency) and too many members of Congress openly support the program in the name of "security for the American People." He certainly won't resign.

Obama won't be removed from office and he won't resign - a man of such colossal ego and self-importance would never quit.

Without a doubt, however, even more so than after his pathetic country-wide tour claiming the country would implode if the sequestration wasn't stopped, Obama has lost the moral high ground and has no hope of swaying the American people to follow him on any significant policy initiatives he dreams of in his second term. Obama is irrelevant. You saw it during the gun control debate and you saw it during the immigration reform push. It is quite possible that the American people will seal his fate in the 2014 mid-terms by returning the Senate to Republican control.

Actually his approval is 46%.

Well we can argue till the cows come home but there's no reason to suggest that he'll be impeached, hell 46% approval rating is pretty normal and it takes both houses of Congress to impreach him. I guess only time will show youre wrong.

like a said it took a year for Nixon and remember the republicans can very easily take the senate in 2014 that is about the time Insurance rates will sky rocket and tax returns being taken away thanks to Obama care

It actually took two years, but you know history and all isn't the strong suite of people like you.

Also no one is going to impreach a President for insurance rates or passing a law that has won its day in the SCOTUS

it took two years from the break in not the congressional investigation that started about a year after the break in

and no Obama care wont cause impeachment but will cause the republicans to win the senate and now they will control both the senate and house and that is all they need for impeachment

Dream on. The Supreme Court decision on the Voting Rights Act just sealed the GOP's doom up north. It also sealed their doom down South but that will take longer.

And this has relevance to Obama how??

Hey, O has a solution: Delay Obamacare until 2015!
