Politifact.com Anyone???

politifact is great. Not biased at all. They have gone after Democrat's claims as well as Republicans. But Republicans seem to be on there more simply because they are the ones that make the ridiculous claims more often.
What evidence do you have that Republicans lie more often?

The fact that Republicans think Politifact is a liberal organization. :)

Has politifact claimed that Republicans lie more than Democrats? Have they claimed that Fox lies more than other networks?

I think Politifact is a wonderful idea, however, I do not think the organization is without bias. They are much harder on Conservatives. For instance one of the issues they recently reviewed was Home Depot founder Ken Lagone saying Reagen always wore his jacket in Oval Office. They cited numerous sources who said he never took of his coat even in summer time and was probably the most formal President ever. Unfortunately, they dug up one photo that was late at night on the weekend and said because of this photo the statement was mostly false. I think they should have rated it "mostly true". Furthermore, Politifact started at a left-leaning paper and is now carried exclusively by left-leaning papers. In their defense, most news papers are left-leaning. My fear is that they have rated some liberal statements as "Pants on Fire" and "False" solely to gain credibility. Once they have credibility, they will show their true stripes, Media Matters II.

Well i believe its the most "unibaised" source when it comes to main stream American political topics. But conservatives and the right like to calim that politifact, factchek, snopes, etc are all bias when it goes against them but when a topic on there agrees with them they seem to use it as well... So...I just dont know but i would say its pretty unbiased..

If the contention was that Reagan ALWAYS wore his jacket in the Oval Office, and there was a photo of him in the Oval Office not wearing his jacket, then the contention was completely false. Just sayin'....
