And what have we learned about these restrictions? That Americans would rather have a good time and be punished for it than make the necessary sacrifices to end this thing. So I’m not relying on a study that assumes compliance to assert that lives could have been saved.

There was no treatment. Those things are the truths Trump didn’t tell. So how do you figure that lives would have been saved by Donald Trump telling the irrefutable truth that there’s nothing the government or private sector could do for them?

Seems to me that President was reluctant at first to support the use of mask, social distancing, and other precautions, even when he knew CV19 very contagious. Even today he seems to mock those still wearing masks. Look at some of his events over the last few months for lack of safety protocols.

No one can make another person take safety precautions. For those who are devoted Trump supporters Trump had a chance to influence their behavior and the behavior of others. He failed to do so early on. How many deaths that equals, who knows. For me, I am not impressed on how he handled the situation.

Would you prefer a leader who says it will "magically disappear", "we have 15 it will soon be 9" (may not be a direct quote). or
say something along the lines of the world is beginning to experience a pandemic. To assist us we encourage each of you to do the following...
X, Y, Z. Your Govt. has done X, Y, Z to slow the spread., etc.

The bottom line with the internet today it is very hard to hid events. If you don't get on top of the story, rumors and bad information will spread like wildfire.

I don't disagree. It does come down to personal decisions and choices. Some who made bad decisions may not have made that decision of Trump would have given better direction to the public.

I have blasted our AZ Governor who at a first followed Trump. Ducey originally signed an EO that banned mayors and county boards from making masks mandatory. It wasn't till CV19 exploded that he came out and said its ok for local officials to make that decision. Would AZ have faired better if strict protocols were in place from the start, who knows. It might have changed things for the better.

Most of those protesters wore masks and attempted social distancing. None were 100,000 large.

In any case, this doesn't make Trump inculpable for delaying a response for months. I'll repeat what I said earlier. South Korea responded on January 20th. We didn't respond until March. South Korea had deaths around 200 while we have 1,000 times that.

And Biden said that Trumps delays cost the lives of 53-57,000 Americans.

In case you didn't notice more than 120,000 more than that have died of the virus. So no matter what Trump did over 100,000 would already have died.

Just do the math.
