More and more, the fringe contingent here on DP reminds me of the Werewolves in Berlin in the 1950's. Don't get me wrong, what remains of the democrats are more like Hamas than the deadly and organized Nazi remnants were, the Werewolves as they called themselves, but the parallel of a once great power defeated and turning to terrorism is obvious with the democrats.

He's assuming a lot. Very unrealistically IMO.

Just like anyone moronically assuming that if TACO wanted to do something this early in his term, he'd immediately resort to military action and takeover, rather than testing the waters to see what he can get away with in EOs, in the courts and by, if necessary, ignoring the courts. Even his idols Putin and Orban werent that obvious or heavy handed...and didnt need to be.

He's still in his grooming and intimidation phase...making it clear that 100% loyalty is the expectation. And unfortunately, IMO there will definitely be officers and military personnel that will forget their oaths to "this nation" and accommodate TACO for their own ends. Let's hope...not enough of them.
