Party Loyalty to Obama may be tested soon

We should be challenging incumbent Senators from both parties, because they both suck. Obama is a jerk for promoting mediocrity for political purposes.

That said if the Democrats primary out Spector it will be quite hilarious.

Disloyalty is treason.

Any "Democrat" whom wishes to keep their Ass will show loyalty.

The Sire is not to be denied.

No it is not. I have not been accused of being unamerican since Bush left office.

Well it hasn't been tested yet.

Your time will come.

Will they come for you or me first?

Voting republicans out was not about loyalty to a political machine.
Voting Obama in was not about loyalty to a political machine.

Suggesting that it's relevant...is a pity.

At the very least I would hope Gillibrand runs a strong campaign because she is at least is pro-2nd Amendment and was against Spitzer's plan to give driver's licenses to illegal aliens.

Renegade Democrats buck Barack Obama - Jonathan Martin - POLITICO.com

Can we be honest?

Obama won because everyone hated Bush. Take Bush out of the equation and things rapidly change. I'll bet the majority of people don't have loyalty to Obama. They have loyalty to loathing Bush. 2010 ain't no referendum on Bush which 2008 was.

I dunno. Obama's favorability is over 50% in 38 states. He's doing decently. Yes, Bush was unpopular, but Obama's a popular person in his own right. I wouldn't underestimate him. Look at what it did to the Clintons.

Oh god. Whats this about an executioner? Let's leave the hyperbole at home.

As for the main subject of the thread: Maloney and Sestak are going to do what they think is best for their political future. Obama's going to do what he thinks is best for getting his agenda passed. Does this surprise a single person?

Voting Obama in was about making "history"

and for many

getting a HNIC

There should be no such thing as "Party Loyalty." Our representatives have the responsibility to represent the people, not a party. I should hope that our statemen would vote and legislate based on personal principle and not bend for the "Gang." If they agree, and their constituence support it, then they should vote yeah. If not, nay. Nothing more should matter, constituency and principle alone.

Whos lying here? I sure am not, I just thought it was a good article.

And Bush had a record 90%+ favorability. I don't see how that actually relates to loyalty. Now, remember how Bush had a favorability in some southern states when everyone else was around 70%+ unfavorable opinions?

That's loyalty.

While that is indeed a true fact, I highly doubt that Obama could have won if say there was a even mediocre Republican vacating the Whitehouse. Bush's truly in the tank favorability played a big role.

Why is it so hard for the right to accept that Obama is a powerful force on his own right?

The right knows he is a powerful force. Why do you think they act as they do?

Fair enough. It just seems that many people want to think that Obama only won because Bush was unpopular and McCain sucked, not wanting to admit that he is a charismatic, popular person in his own right that many people genuinely like.

We already know why he won.

People wanted to "make history"

You underestimate him at your own peril. There was much more than that. For one, he ran what was probably the best ground game in memory. If the republicans don't learn how to compete with Obama in the ground, you best start thinking about 2016.

It was both of those reasons. So, technically, the right is right.

Nah, we just need a Black republican to run... that should get the 95+ % of the blacks who voted for Obama (for obvious reasons) enough reason to split themselves up.

Yeah... you keep telling yourself that. Do yourself a favor. Ask black people if they'd vote for a black republican instead of Obama. Good luck finding more than one or two.

Off the top of my head I already know 3.

There are quite a few black republicans in the Law Enforcement field.......

I find that being black gets you 10% more of the black vote than would be otherwise.

Usually, blacks split about 15/85 between Republicans and Democrats.

When Obama ran for president he got about 95% of the black vote.

When Micheal Steele ran for Senator he got about 25% of the black vote.

However since plenty of whites voted against Obama for the very reason he was black, his race was far from the reason he won.

2 reasons why Obama won, people were tired of Bush..........and they wanted to "make history"......
