Ok, this is insane and scary as hell

Christian nationalism is one of the key goals of the Far Right. If they ever get power--look out.
I'm actually going to question that. The real power IMO on the right is 'big money'. Big corporations, billionaires, etc. All the rest are used to get power because they need votes.

But I think they're aware of the idea that they can 'create a monster' that could turn on them. You could see it with 'the tea party' they made, You can see it with the buffoons of today's Republicans including trump gaining a lot of power, and I think they would be reluctant to see religious fascists get 'real power' they couldn't control. It's one thing to get their votes and another to be subject to them.

It's not impossible but I question it. They are a dog that caught the care on repealing abortion; instead of it just getting them votes for decades, now they're faced with a backlash from doing it.

But you never know. Religious fascists do have a lot of power, see the national prayer breakfast which is basically an event about their power with politicians. But I don't think Charles Koch or Peter Thiel or big corporate Republican donors are ok with religious fascists running things. (On the other hand, the De Vos family and some others are).

The new buzzword is "christofacist" Whenever you see someone use it you can ignore what they are saying because it certainly isn't an original thought

The term was coined in 1970.

Curious how people talk about something more when it becomes a bigger problem.

Yesterday, my neighbor was in her backyard listening to a podcast loudly calling for prayers for poor abused Donald Trump. In my quick glance that way I saw she was very still but looked intent. Staring down at her phone or head bowed in prayer? I couldn't tell which it might be.

I'm glad I got to know her as a cool lady before I saw that. I'll keep being neighborly. She's a nice friendly person with interests in common with me. But I'm glad I'm forewarned in case politics or religion ever comes up. Forewarned to dodge that subject.

And saddened that there are so many who think that the victim in our current national nightmare is the corrupt egotistical traitor who is using sincere Americans as pawns for his self-gratification and vendettas.

Notice I said that "Christian nationalism is one of the goals of the Far Right." But don't worry, they'll definitely have a ton of corporatism mixed in there as well.

Another thread with someone complaining about being ‘scared’. Is that the new buzz word?

These assholes scare easily. I don't know what they are going to do if they ever face a real threat.

Christianity has never played as small of role in the US as it has today.
Sorry...it should play no role in the US this day or any day.

Should Islam play a role in the US? NOPE! Should Judaism play a role in the US? NOPE?

No religion should in a country based on the principle of separation of church and state. No religious....that means Christianity too.

These assholes scare easily. I don't know what they are going to do if they ever face a real threat.

Says the side that is scared of strong women, Black people, trans people, Potato Head, vegan sausage at Cracker Barrel, Nike, Colin Kaepernick, Megan Rapinoe, the NBA...

Well that's an easy one to answer - if they can't destroy them with deceit and fraud (like they're attempting with Trump) they'll appease the enemy, and if that doesn't work, they'll capitulate, surrender to it.

Such is in fact the essence of their worldview and the bedrock of their ideology. And ironically, it's also why they're fundamentally so totalitarian, so authoritarian. "Life" for them is simply a function of who holds the reins of power.

Plus... we have their history; it is what they've always done.

This is some crazy shit here. e need to lock these maniacs up ASAP

Uh, delusional dickheads, there still isn't even a speck of credible or compelling evidence to prove that your stupid little alleged "true god" exists.

See my (excellent) siggy below for more info on the subject

We continue to laugh (HARD) at you delusional dickheads...

It's one thing for them to be strange bedfellows, but another for one faction to get a lot of power. Eventually there are disagreements, for example look how trump ran by attacking very wealthy interests saying they're corrupt and that he'd 'drain the swamp'. Lies, but it shows a divide.

Chanting in unity is always a chilling sight, but especially with the material they're chanting.

Shit, we better pay attention!

BEGIN ORGANIZING YOUR VOTING DAY PACKETS = Democracy NOW

Voters must assume well organized ANTI AMERICAN FASCIST CONSERVATIVES aka ALEC may have purged YOU from the voting rolls. Any way possible

Okay let's plan ahead as reinstating your credentials could take two weeks according to my "dummy" experience.

VOTE VOTE VOTE

And check often to see if you as a voter have been purged .... I checked then a copy of my voter registration showed up in the mail.

Voters ORGANIZE A VOTING DAY PACKET which should contain:

--- a birth certificate

--- drivers license or state ID card

--- proof of voter registration etc etc etc.

--- Passport

--- Keep this information close by for at least 100 years.

Let's get on with it. WE voters have a mess to clean up.

CONSERVATIVE ALEC FASCISM will never give up squashing democracy and YOUR right to vote.

Particularly telling when people got more amped up at the part talking about their right to do violence to "the enemy".

The terms woke capitalism and woke-washing were coined to describe companies who signal support for progressive causes as a substitute for genuine reform.

By 2020, parts of the political center and right wing in several Western countries were using the term woke, often in an ironic way, as an insult for various progressive or leftist movements and ideologies perceived as overzealous, performative, or insincere.

In turn, some commentators came to consider it an offensive term with negative associations to those who promote political ideas involving identity and race.

By 2021, woke had become used almost exclusively as a pejorative, with most prominent usages of the word taking place in a disparaging context.

the teachings of Jesus is to love everyone no matter what. The loudmouths in the video are preaching hate and lying at the same time. The people in the crowd are being manipulated aka used.

The loudmouths are in it for the money and power to mislead. This is un-American activity. Arrest them for trying to over throw the USA then indict them.
