I'm a realpolitik kind of person and there's no glossing over the fact that Biden mandated striking rail workers back to work who were partially protesting over railroad safety and aging infrastructure. I don't care if it's D or R responsible, it is shameful. His election platform rested upon $1 trillion in some green new deal that was cockamamie to start with, but you'd think a pittance of that larger amount could have made it into some vision for railroads. But no, as usual, just let companies "self-regulate".

Trump showing up to get another 15 seconds of limelight is laughable but par for the course with that narcissist. Meanwhile he is pro-deregulation and would have been in the same position as Biden if roles were reversed.

What nobody is looking at is how neo-liberalism is destroying America by letting huge corporate conglomerates determine all our laws, including safety. The EPA told people in East Palestine that their air/water was safe while the farm animals were getting skin ulcers and dying. Norfolk Southern offered to visit people's homes to investigate contamination and do safety testing for them. Yeah, no conflict of interest there. The corruption is blatant, they don't even bother hiding it anymore.
