So much for Mitch controlling the Senate.

6 Jan is shaping up to be a long day.

We must remember every elected official and every member of the general public that supports these maneuvers. These people would have voted for Hitler. They are not conservatives. They are right-wing authoritarians who would destroy our Republic in a heartbeat if it meant accomplishing their political goals.

not a surprise he is the one doing it, he is trying to out suck up Tubberville.

Off topic; is it pronounced “Toobervile or Tuberville?“

i've watched these crazies for almost 60 years (and it's gotten WAY worse). you can NOT reason with them.

it's why i started the thread about how our country should deal with the massive liars who support the massive liar. and if the Republicans controlled the House, we'd have 4 more years of Trump even though he lost the election.

It will be short lived. It's merely a stall. And it will provide yet another instance where there is an announcement of Biden as the winner. From the story;

Any member of the House, joined by a member of the Senate, can contest the electoral votes on Jan. 6. The challenge prompts a floor debate followed by a vote in each chamber.

For the last 4-5 years, I have been saying, “ah, that will never happen.”

This year we said, “after the Election, it will be alright, then it was after 14DEC, it’s going to be alright,”

Until Biden raises his hand on 20JAN21, I won’t rest easy. That won’t be the end of our “troubles,” either, imo.

I'm not resting easy. Which of course is their intent. Even after Biden is sworn in I won't rest easy because Biden has this stupid notion that these idiots will come to their senses and can be dealt with once Trump is gone.

Never say Never, especially where trump is involved.

if i have learned anything of the last 6 decades it's that their is no low for those people. they will blow up the US if given the chance at power, etc.

it's the old Confederate mindset and if we don't address it and train young people how un-American they are then we're going to deal with this every 2 years for 70 more years.

I don't know that Biden actually believes that given he was VP when then Senate Leader McConnell publicly stated his party's only goal was to thwart Obama's agenda and ensure he is a one term president.

I think Biden is doing the right thing by extending the olive branch, and for the first time in 4 years attempt to instill a sense of professionalism in the office of President.

Oh look, a thread of leftists exercising thier own idiotic biases.
s Never seen one of those on this site before. /s

He's surgically-attached to Trump's arse.
Wrong.

Joe Biden Says The Current President's Influence Over Republicans Will Fade After He Leaves Office
President-elect Joe Biden doesn't blame Republicans who have been slow to congratulate his win and believes, once he is inaugurated, the current president's hold over the GOP will become less of a barrier to cooperation and working across the aisle.

Oh for goodness sakes... more Hitler crap! Crazy ranting again?

Biden is probably reading from a teleprompter. Not a clue what he is saying.
Tuesday Biden referred to Kamala Harris as "president-elect."
Poor soul is so clueless!

I didn't recognize the topic when I started another: Seditious Traitors in the Senate. In case anyone was uncertain of my view.
