OH good GOD Football is here!

WOW... that alabama interception for a TD. What a run that guy made.

"Ellabima", as Gary Danielson says it, is just the better team. There's no question. Manziel can't do it all every time. A&M doesn't have a power ground game. They need it.

I must give Johnny credit. He played a fantastic game, sans the 2 interceptions, and behaved as a professional.
I'll give Saban a lot of credit because his players understand they better behave that way, sans Yeldon.
McCarron was very impressive in his post-game interview, like complimenting the hands team.
After watching today's game I would say that when Michigan fans start all that bold talk about Michigan power football, they would be well advised to Zip it.

The only ground game A&M had was Johnny, very impressive game for him.

There were at least four defensive starters who hadn't played a down before today. It showed. CBS described that first interception as Manziel trying to "get cute." Win had to be extremely satisfying for Bama generally and McCarron personally after the Manning Camp stuff.

The benefit of playing against an overrated SEC team. If Nebraska handles UCLA, they'll leap 'em.

haha.

We'll see about Michigan, Nov 30th.

No doubt about it, Michigan played horribly yesterday. I don't know what their problem was, but they need to get their **** together quick.

Prior to the game I had a premonition of sorts. The premonition was that they were not taking the game seriously and went out partying the previous night and half the team would be hung over and suffering through the early kickoff time. Unfortunately they made me think that my premonition was spot on.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. They didn't take it seriously because they thought it would be an easy win. Hopefully they learned a lesson from it.

And give credit to the Zips for playing up. Those guys played with heart.

Michigan won. Rest is gravy.

The rest was butt ugly, especially for team with a very light schedule.

That gravy managed to leave a rather rancid aftertaste in my mouth, Taylor Lewan summed it up succinctly: "We won the game. We’re 3-0. That’s great. But it was embarrassing.”

On the bright side, I lost 3 pounds of terror sweat. I was watching the UCLA/Nebraska game (Michigan/Akron wasn't televised around here, what a shock) and toward the end I couldn't even watch the game, exciting as it was. I was just glued to the ESPN BottomLine waiting for updates. After Fitz put us ahead, I had to pace the floor for a half hour (or however the hell long it took to play the last two and a half minutes) just begging for BottomLine update crumbs. When it showed 1st and goal at the 1 with 15 seconds left, I could literally feel my stomach churn. When the final alert came up to show that our GL defense stopped them to win, I think I let out a shriek that pissed off every neighborhood dog.

Yeah I did not watch the game either. Stupid Big ten network. I refuse to pay to get it just to see a couple of games. I had the espn play by play applet thingy running and found an online radio broadcast of the game which I listened to while I had the Nebraska game on the TV. I expected Notre Dame to be the nail-biter.. not this supposed "throw away" game (which they almost threw away).

Fresno State now making its drive for the Notre Dame at-large birth...
E$PN.

Does Michigan State have enough to take out Notre Dame?

Georgia has apparently decided not to play football this year.

And, of course, the pivotal Michigan-UConn tilt (THROW THE RECORDS OUT WHEN THESE POWERHOUSES FACE OFF, BOYS) isn't on until 8, and thus I won't be able to watch it.

Light schedule my ass. You don't have to play Alabama, LSU, and Georgia to have a legitimate schedule.

Thing is, when you do play Alabama, LSU, or Georgia it tends to delegitimize your team and your team's schedule. Just ask Notre Dame.

I just finished watching Ohio State beat Florida A&M final score- 76 to 0. Don't believe I've ever witnessed such a slaughter.
