LOL! I like how absolutely everyone has thus far utterly missed your point.I have been watching football today and saw this add for the first time. IMO it is racist in every way. The white guy is portrayed as a goofy little nerd while the black couple look cool and trendy. Conversely the black couple is also portrayed as preferring fortified liquor products to fine wine. I can't believe this is on the air.

It isn't a racist issue. For the past 15-20 years, white men have been depicted as idiots, stupid, and fools in many commercials and sit-coms. It's because people perceive that white men hold all the power, so therefore, they must be brought down to the level of the disadvantaged (women and minorities) in a symbolic way. It isn't going to change anytime in the near future, and it gains nothing to go around being offended by it.

I agree with you on this, also if you notice we perceive white people as being evil because a majority of bad guys in movies and shows are rich white conservatives. I personally think its a way to push a PC agenda into the new world, however whites and western man have obviously done atrocities across the world, more so then any other race.
.
How pathetic is our country when people are so hung up on race that any humor is deemed to be racist? Am I offended that the gomer wearing a sweater like a cape is lame? No. Are black people offended that the couple chose the advertised product over wine that stains your teeth? No. Yet race baiters and liberals have to find something to be offended at. It is as if they aren't happy unless they are unhappy.

Perhaps, just perhaps, that happened because your perspective on race doesn't fit what life in America actually is?
I.E. in America, white privilege truly does exists and reverse racism doesn't?
To the bolded: and overall, they've probably done far more good, and developed far more in the way of technological advances.
As for the subject of discussion, although I am white, I really don't give a **** what people in general think about whites. If they weren't envious in some manner, they wouldn't have anything to be pissed off about.
Well i personally think its that attitude that really creates more animosity, if you will, to white people.

It's fine that you think that, but it really doesn't change the way I see it. There is nothing we can do to change that perception in any meaningful way. What it amounts to is that it is human nature to be hateful and jealous if you perceive that you may not be getting all the respect that you "deserve". The only way that there will not be racial divides on this planet, is when there is no more race. When we are all homogenous in skin color. Of course, there will just be something else to be envious about at that point, so it's rather moot. I don't waste my time and effort trying to appease someone who dislikes me based on my skin color, or anything else that I have no control over.
Its that mentality that allows the corrupt and failed foreign policy to exist, and if your fine with it then so be it. However, i am not suggesting the "apeasement of hateful jealous people" as you put it, but rather if we change our attitude about our own lives as Americans when it comes to things on foreign policy and such, maybe people will start emulating us rather then hating us.
Yea you can say that, about racism, but acting like we're better and people are just jealous about it is really going to add fuel to fire.

Until we stop seeing color of skin everywhere and start seeing skin color as of no more importance than eye color or hair color, racism will remain alive and well.
It would have been racist if it had been a 40 of old e that fell from the sky...
I think the ad was attempting to make a contrast between "elitist snob" vs "cool person".So you don't think blacks being portrayed as people who are not sophisticated enough to enjoy fine wine is racist? Just give them their fortified liquor and they will be happy? I disagree.
Same thing in a different package

Stereotypes =\= racism

There is no racism in this commercial at all. The ethnicity of the people could have been switched and it would have had the same effect.
Bottom line- no racism at all. Also, buy a good craft beer instead.
