wow... Libs once agin lying.. Im shocked...they cant even ship in 60,000 losers to fill the stadium...this is a bad sign for the Obamabots....if they could trust me they have it in the snow to show how dedicated the Obama magic is..

i definitely wouldn't schedule a presidential speech in an open air stadium when thunderstorms are forecast. they made the right decision to move it inside. at this time of the year, it shouldn't have been scheduled outside in the first place.

You're grasping at straws

They wouldn't cancel any other event in that stadium with the weather forecast.

BINGO.... it would have been a great optic to see the supports braving the weather..but... there are none..

Why is it a stretch that it's because of weather? If theres a 40% chance of thunderstorms, then that means, if they didn't make the switch now, that there would be a last minute change , meaning they would have to move all of the equipment and all arrangements to a different venue, along with all of the different circumstances of those large crowds (police assistance, traffic, deciding who gets in at the last minute etc.)

I'd say it's a wise decision. Moving a venue of that size any later would be a nightmare, meaning that Obama's speech wouldn't receive as much airplay in the media, and we all know, thanks to Clint Eastwood, how that can effect outcomes.

again...they would just cover the stage...very easy...they dont have the numbers..

had they not canceled, and anything happened to anyone in the stadium during a weather event, you would be the first here posting threads about it. most likely the threads would allege that Obama is so vain that he put people in danger in order to fulfill his open stadium wet dream.

they made the right decision canceling an open air event when there's a risk of thunderstorms. the mistake was scheduling it there in the first place at this time of year.

That's the kind of crap yuo see in movies. Come back to reality. In real life, what you would get from a political rally in a thunderstorm, is a ****load of interference with all of the equipment, a speaker that keeps having to wipe the rain off his face and out of his eyes, a speaker that might not be able to look straight forward due to rain pelting his face, a speech that is only half way audible due to the storm, the possibility of someone being hurt if the crowd tries to trample out if the weather gets too severe etc...

It would be crazy to try to hold a rally if there is a significant chance of that, which tells me clearly why you are in favor of it, lol.

They would just throw a big tarp over a 75,000 person arena? Jesus Christ, I've just lost all faith in humanity.

Oh god this is just to funny the spin Bronson is trying to put it:lamo

Yea right. Again, you're PATHETICALLY GRASPING AT STRAWS. It's embarrassing.

It's not my fault you've been brainwashed by a cult and have to suspend your critical thinking skills in order to defend this.

They couldn't come close to filling that stadium. If they could fill that stadium there could be a blizzard raging there and Obama would still give that speech.

Politics is all about optics, imaging, messaging, ect. especially to a campaign that relies on cult tactics on not actual accomplishments.

Feel free to reply with some limp-wristed attempt at spinning this, but nobody informed believes you.

So here's a question: Why does this even matter?

This isn't going to decide the election. This isn't going to spur the economy. This isn't going to quell middle eastern tensions. This isn't going to solve the European debt crisis. This isn't going to bring the housing market back. This isn't going to resolve government spending/revenue conflicts. This isn't going to resolve the ever-increasing price of health care. This isn't going to bridge the gap between minorities in education, poverty, or earnings.

So why the hell do we need 312789042357890346 threads about it?

Now, you know Obamas too good to stand out in the rain. :rofl

Awww, that would be just terrible if Obama had to wipe the rain off his face. I work when it's raining. That would mean he could relate to what I have to put up with to earn a buck.

He said the stage

You fail

I love how the excuse is "Someone is going to get struck by lightning, so we have to MOVE the venue where there are 50K LESS SEATS to fill"

Even with 50K less seats to fill, they still have to bus in loads of people and jam them in there to pretend there is still enthusiasm. This is a total disaster. I can only imagine if this was a Republican and they had to move venues like this with a flimsy excuse of possible rain? It's a normal weather forecast for that area. It's not extreme weather or something. They wouldn't even cancel a PICNIC out there with this weather forecast.

You're messiah is crashing down to Earth

Well, as I said in the other thread, this move has produced one of the best opposition quotes I've seen in a long time:

‘‘After promising to hold the event at Bank of America stadium rain or shine, suddenly Team Obama is moving inside after questions about enthusiasm for the event,’’ said Kirsten Kukowski, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee. ‘‘What’s the real forecast for the speech? Forty percent chance of lies and scattered excuses.’’

That said, they're not only moving indoors because of the weather, which is only at a 40% chance of rain, but because they cannot fill the venue. They're moving from a 74,000 seat venue to a 20,000 seat one. The move is costly and could make this one of the most expensive conventions ever for the DNC. Not what they really want to be spending their money on, but hey, can't have enormous gaps of blank seating during the president's speech. Folks might think his popularity has dimmed somewhat.

I'm not saying it's terrible that he has to stand in the rain. I'm saying the optics of it would be ****ty. That's just reality. In movies when someone dives under water, they come up through the surface like a ****ing dolphin, if it's a guy his hair perfectly in place and a white tooth, dimpled smile on his face, if it's a girl, in a perfectly fitted bikini, with her hair and makeup perfectly in place, with a white toothed smile etc. In reality, when I come up from diving under water I generally have ****ed up hair, squinty eyes, and a possibility of snot running down my nose.

These things are all about optics and theres a very good chance this thing could turn out very ugly if there is any kind of significant rain. The idea that the only possible reason they would change venues is because they couldn't fill it, while possible, is unlikely at best, and very obviously, to anyone that is honest about it (ie: not you) is not the most likely reason by a long shot.

What are they going to do with those 54,000 people flying, busing, driving, in to see Obama with his styrofoam columns, and the Guarding Angles flying over Obama?

I know right? Hahaha

Paschendale? Mr. Socialist genius. Where and how are they going to accommodate all the people flying, driving in ect to see Barack's wonderful speech?

I can hear the clown bells ringing from your ears
