Experiencing sticker-shock at the price of insurance on ObamaCare exchanges?
That's more likely if you live in a "red state" that didn't vote for Obama, according to price data compiled by the Heritage Foundation. In red states, premiums for 27-year-olds rose an average of 78% on ObamaCare exchanges, whereas in "blue states" that voted for Obama, premiums rose a smaller 50%.
Senate critics of ObamaCare say the difference is one way in which the bill is unfair.
It also hit red states harder because their dip**** governors/legislatures refused a crapload of federal money aimed at providing medicaid to more people. In between your state's horridly-low medicaid threshold and 100% of the FPL? Hah, you're ****ed! Thank your red state. I'm sure they'll help you find some boot straps. They've been doing such a great job at that with their conservative values so far.
Medicaid has nothing to do with ACA insurance rates
On the eve of the 2010 midterm elections, President Obama accidentally summed up his governing philosophy in an interview with Univision: "[W]e're gonna punish our enemies, and we're gonna reward our friends ..."
This is the cornerstone of politics in Obama's adopted hometown of Chicago. It is also one of the few promises Obama has actually kept.
Just look at the Obama administration's treatment of utility giant Exelon Corp., which has had Illinois' legislature (and especially Obama's old state Senate mentor, Emil Jones) wrapped around its finger for years. An Exelon lobbyist once referred to the company as "the president's utility." One of Obama's top fundraisers sits on Exelon's board. Obama's top political adviser, David Axelrod, worked as an Exelon consultant. Obama's former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel helped create the company through a merger when he was an investment banker. Exelon is one of Obama's oldest "friends."
Posted edited to clarify that for you.
examiner editorial: On energy, obama rewards friends and punishes enemies | washingtonexaminer.com
its how obama governs it is the chicago way
it is not a lie you can argue over context if you want but it is not a lie claiming he said punish your enemies and reward your friendsIt's a lie here is what he said:
"If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, 'We're gonna punish our enemies, and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us' -- if they don't see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election -- then I think it's going to be harder. And that's why I think it's so important that people focus on voting on November 2nd."

Yeah.... context is a terrible thing isn't it. It puts meaning into words. For example, Taylor Swift once said "It's a new year, a new beginning and things will change". Hitler said the same thing. I'm sure they were both talking about the same thing and neither could be taken out of context.

your own article has him saying just that
"If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, 'We're gonna punish our enemies, and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us' -- if they don't see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election -- then I think it's going to be harder. context is a two edge sword liberals are experts at taking things out of context
Ah, it seems Libertarians are too. You just did it as proven by the fact that the entire quote was posted in its rightful context and it had NOTHING to do with what you said it did. You sure you're not a liberal?
and what did I say it did?
See: OP.You posted a quote completely out of context and then pretended it was relevant to what your article was stating. As the quote in its context was 1) three years old 2) arguing against "punishing enemies and reward friends". You did in fact post it out of context, my fellow liberal.
you sure assumed a lot from a 7 word sentence
you sure assumed a lot from a 7 word sentence
Nope - you repeated your misrepresentation of what Obama said in posts 6 and 7. You are in fact, a Liberal. Welcome to the team! Marxist Ball on Sunday, wear your Peruvian parka. Oh, and Che Guevara shirts are a must.
The hell with Che... I got my Lenin shirt all ironed for the ball.
