WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama insisted Friday that the U.S. economy is digging itself out of the deepest recession in decades but conceded that "progress has been painfully slow" and many voters in November's elections may blame him.
Facing a rising jobless rate, Obama told a White House news conference: "For all the progress we've made, we're not there yet. And that means the people are frustrated and that means people are angry."
Yes, it's certainly fair given that the economy was one of the primary reasons he was elected. We should remind ourselves of his campaign promises, too:Fact is, blaming the predecessor won't cut it with the American people, who are becoming frustrated. They want results now, but is this fair?
Obama has done everything within his power to do as much damage as he could as quickly as he could.
Of course we blame you, butthead.

are you suggesting he purposefully tried to tank the economy, which he hasn't done yet.
LOL....... yes, and that just goes to show how incompetent he is.
Come on. We both know that Obama loves this country, and would not purposefully do anything to harm it. If you want to be honest, you can say that Obama doesn't know what the hell he is doing, and I would agree with you.

Want to impress us.........simple.......don't pass new legislation, streamline those things which are good and provably work; trim the fat in federal programs, give states more sovereignity back; eliminate useless or otherwise onerous legislation; make the tax code simple and less punitive; return to asset backed currency and responsible monetary policy; and then sit back and watch the market booms.
And that's a major fear I have as well. Ideally voters will use the new awakening that's come from these last 10 years or so and elect people who will roll back the federal, but I won't celebrate anything before I see it.He's a smart man and should do all of the above.
But I don't think a robust economy is something he wants to see. More and more I think his view for America is something most of us never want to see.

There's no evidence the Messiah loves the US.
His critical childhood years were spent in Indonesia, he admits he spent his college years deliberately seeking associations with socialists and other anti-American radicals. His policies have all been directed towards dismantling the Constitution, and he himself proclaimed his "global" citizenship. He bows to foreign leaders and he takes no leadership role himself.
Mommy and Daddy were also Socialist.
... lol. Next you'll tell us one was black and the other was white. Shocking.
